For I am Jehovah; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

蓋我為耶和華、我將言之、所言必成、不復濡滯、爾悖逆之家乎、在爾尚存之日、我必言之、亦必成之、主耶和華言之矣、○

蓋我耶和華言而有應、原不濡滯、我既言之、爾違逆者、尚存之日、必見效驗、我耶和華已言之矣。

蓋言者乃我、我原文作主我所言者必成之、不復遲延、悖逆之族歟、我所言者、我必於爾尚存之日成之、此乃主天主所言、○

But I the Lord will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, you rebellious people, I will fulfill whatever I say, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Jehovah of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely, as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

Behold ye among the nations, and look, and wonder marvellously; for I am working a work in your days, which ye will not believe though it be told you.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

The word of Jehovah also came unto me, saying,Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see, and see not, that have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

Jehovah hath done that which he purposed; he hath fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old; He hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: And he hath caused the enemy to rejoice over thee; he hath exalted the horn of thine adversaries.

But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? and they turned and said, Like as Jehovah of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

And they shall know that I am Jehovah: I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, until all these things be accomplished.Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

It shall turn out unto you for a testimony.

And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil; for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

Say unto them, As I live, saith Jehovah, surely as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, that have murmured against me,surely ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware that I would make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.But your little ones, that ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have rejected.But as for you, your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness.And your children shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your whoredoms, until your dead bodies be consumed in the wilderness.After the number of the days in which ye spied out the land, even forty days, for every day a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my alienation.
