接着，我看见另一位强有力的天使从天上降下来，披着云彩；又有一道彩虹在他头上。他的脸像太阳，脚像火柱，

坐着的那一位，看起来仿佛碧玉和红宝石；又有一道彩虹围着宝座，看起来仿佛绿宝石。

亚伯兰脸伏于地；神又对他说：

于是加百列来到我所站的地方。他一来，我就惊惶失措，脸伏于地。他对我说：“人子啊，你当领悟，这异象是关于末后的时期！”

他仆倒在地上，听见有声音对他说：“扫罗，扫罗！你为什么逼迫我？”

我一看见他，就仆倒在他的脚前，像死人那样。他把右手放在我身上，说：“不要怕！我就是首先的，是末后的，是那永生的。我曾经死过，可是看哪，我现在活着，直到永永远远，并且拿着死亡和阴间的钥匙。

看哪！那位样子像人的碰了我的嘴唇，我就开口说话。我对那位站在我面前的说：“我主啊！因这异象，剧痛临到我身上，我的力气就留存不住。我主的仆人怎么能与我主说话呢？我现里面一点力气都没有，连气息都没有。”

如今我们对着镜子观看，模糊不清，但那时候就要面对面了；如今我所知道的有限，但那时候就要完全知道了，就像我已经被完全知道那样；

我在怒气涨溢的时候，曾经短暂地向你掩面，但我要以永远的慈爱怜悯你。”这是耶和华你的救赎主说的。“对于我，这就像挪亚洪水的时候——我怎样起誓不让挪亚洪水再次漫过大地，我也要怎样起誓不对你发怒，也不斥责你。大山或可移开，小山或可挪动，但我的慈爱必不离开你，我平安的约也不挪移！”这是怜悯你的耶和华说的。

唯独我但以理看到了这异象，那些与我在一起的人却没有看到这异象，但是有极大的恐惧落在他们身上，他们就逃走躲藏了。因此，唯独剩下我一人看到了这极大的异象；我里面一点力气都没有，我的脸色变得如同死灰，我的力气也留存不住，但我却听见了他说话的声音；我一听见他说话的声音，就脸伏于地沉睡了。

我把我的彩虹放在云中，它就是我与大地立约的标记。当我聚起云遮盖大地时，彩虹会出现在云中，我就会记念我与你们以及一切有血肉的活物所立的约，水就不再成为洪水，来毁灭一切有血肉的。当彩虹出现在云中，我就会看到，就会记念我与地上一切有血肉的活物所立的永远之约。”

彼得还在说话的时候，忽然有一朵灿烂的云彩笼罩了他们，看哪，有声音从云中出来，说：“这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的。你们当听从他！”门徒们听见了，就把脸伏在地上，极其惧怕。
