于是王所有的智慧人都进前来，他们却不能读那文字，也不能为王讲解它的意思。

到了早晨，法老心里不安，就派人把埃及所有的术士和智慧人都召来。法老把所做的梦告诉他们，但是没有人能为法老解梦。

你的智慧人在哪里？万军之耶和华向埃及所定的旨意，他们既然知道，就让他们告诉你吧！

耶稣对他们说：“我看见撒但从天上坠落，像闪电一样。

迦勒底人回答王说：“世上没有人能解释王的事情；从来没有君王、大臣、掌权者向术士、巫师，或迦勒底人问过这样的事。王所问的事很难，除了不与血肉之躯同住的上帝，没有人能在王面前解释。”

尽管使用从幼年就施行的魔符和众多的邪术吧！或许有些帮助，或许可以致胜。你筹划太多，以致疲倦。让那些观天象，看星宿，在初一说预言的都起来，救你脱离所要临到你的事！

于是那些术士、巫师、迦勒底人、观兆的都进来，我将那梦告诉他们，他们却不能把梦的解释告诉我。

从前雅尼和佯庇怎样反对摩西，这等人也怎样抵挡真理；他们的心地败坏，信仰经不起考验。然而，他们没有进步，因为他们的愚昧必在众人面前显露出来，像那两人一样。
