于是，法老也把智慧人和行法术的人召了来；他们本是埃及的术士，也用他们的巫术照样行了。

众术士因为生了疮的缘故，不能站在摩西的面前；因为众术士和所有埃及人身上都生了疮。

于是王所有的智慧人都进来，却不能读那文字，也不能把意思向王说明。

到了早晨，法老心里烦乱，就派人去把埃及所有的术士和智慧人都召了来；法老把自己的梦告诉他们，但是没有人能替法老解梦。

你的智慧人在哪里呢？万军之耶和华向埃及所定的旨意是怎样的？就让他们告诉你，使你知道吧！

耶稣说：“我看见撒但，像闪电一样从天坠落。

迦勒底人在王面前回答说：“世上没有人能把王所问的事说出来，因为从来没有一个伟大和有权势的君王向术士、用法术的和迦勒底人询问过这样的事。王所问的事很难答，除了那不和世人同住的神明以外，没有人能在王面前把这事说出来。”

继续使用你从幼年时就劳碌施行的符咒和许多的邪术吧！或者你可以得到益处，也许你能叫人战栗。你因你许多的计划而劳累；现在让那些划分天象的，观看星辰的，在月朔时说预言的，都站起来，拯救你脱离要临到你身上的事。

于是术士、用法术的、迦勒底人和占星家都进来；我当面把那梦告诉了他们，可是他们却不能把梦的意思向我说明。

从前阎儡和阎悖怎样反对摩西，这些人也怎样反对真理。他们的心思败坏，信仰也经不起考验。然而他们不能再这样下去了，因为他们的愚昧终必在众人面前显露出来，好像那两个人一样。
