「他們要用金色、藍色、紫色、朱紅色紗，和搓的細麻，以刺繡的手藝做以弗得。以弗得當有兩條肩帶，接上兩端，使它相連。以弗得的精緻帶子，要以一樣的手藝，用金色、藍色、紫色、朱紅色紗，和搓的細麻縫製，與以弗得接連在一起。要取兩塊紅瑪瑙，在上面刻以色列兒子的名字：六個名字在一塊寶石上，六個名字在另一塊寶石上，都按照他們出生的次序。要以雕刻寶石的手藝，如同刻印章，把以色列兒子的名字刻在這兩塊寶石上，並把寶石鑲在金槽裏。要把這兩塊寶石安在以弗得的兩條肩帶上，為以色列人作紀念石。亞倫要在耶和華面前把他們的名字帶在兩肩上，作為紀念。

他給亞倫穿上內袍，束上腰帶，套上外袍，加上以弗得，再束上精緻的帶子，把以弗得繫在他身上。

紅瑪瑙與寶石，可以鑲嵌在以弗得和胸袋上。
