「要用純金造一個燈臺，燈臺的燈座、燈柱、油杯、花瓣和花苞要用一塊純金打造。燈臺的兩邊要各伸出三個分枝，共六個分枝。每個分枝要伸出三個杏花形狀、有花瓣和花苞的杯，六個分枝都是這樣。燈臺上要有四個杏花形狀、有花瓣和花苞的杯。燈臺上每一對分枝的相連處要有花苞，三對都是這樣。整座燈臺，包括一切裝飾，都要用一塊純金打造。此外，要為燈臺造七個燈盞，放在燈臺上面，照亮前面的地方。燈臺用的燈剪和燈花盤都要用純金造。造整座燈臺和燈臺的器具要用三十四公斤純金。

建成後的聖幕共分兩間，外面的一間稱為聖所，擺設了燈臺、桌子和聖餅。

祂裡面有生命，這生命是人類的光。光照進黑暗裡，黑暗不能勝過光。有一個人名叫約翰，是上帝差來的。他來是為光做見證，叫世人可以藉著他而相信。約翰不是那光，他來是為那光做見證。那照亮世人的真光來到了世上。

金燈臺和金燈的分量，銀燈臺和銀燈的分量——按每座燈臺的用途酌定金銀的分量，

他們每天早晚向耶和華獻燔祭，燒芬芳的金燈臺香，把供餅擺在潔淨的桌子上，每晚點上的燈。我們遵守我們上帝耶和華的吩咐，你們卻背棄祂。

我又問天使：「燈臺左右的兩棵橄欖樹是什麼意思？」

亞倫要常常照看這些放在純金燈臺上的燈。

好使你們在這個彎曲敗壞的時代中無可指責、誠實無偽，作上帝純潔無瑕的兒女，如同明光照耀在世上，

他把燈臺放在會幕內的桌子對面，在聖幕的南側，然後在耶和華面前點燈，都遵照耶和華的吩咐。

他問我：「你看見了什麼？」我說：「我看見一個純金的燈臺，上面有一個油碗，燈臺上有七盞燈，每盞燈有七個燈芯。

人點亮了燈，不會把它放在斗底下，而是放在燈臺上，好照亮全家。

我轉身看究竟是誰在對我說話，我看見七個金燈臺，有一位好像人子耶穌的站在這些燈臺中間。祂長袍垂腳，金帶圍胸，頭與髮白如羊毛、潔白如雪，眼睛像火焰，雙腳像爐中冶煉過的銅一樣光亮，聲音如同洪濤之聲。祂右手拿著七顆星，口中吐出一把兩刃的利劍，面貌如烈日放光。我一看見祂，便仆倒在祂腳前，像死了一樣。祂把右手按在我身上，說：「不要害怕！我是首先的，我是末後的，我是永活者。我曾經死過，但看啊，我永永遠遠活著。我掌握死亡和陰間的鑰匙。所以，你要將所看見的一切——現在和將來要發生的事都記錄下來。你所看見在我右手中的七顆星和七個金燈臺的奧祕是，七顆星代表七間教會的天使，七個燈臺代表七間教會。「你要寫信告訴以弗所教會的天使，那位右手拿著七顆星、往來於七個金燈臺中间的主說，『我知道你的行為、勞碌和堅忍，也知道你嫉惡如仇，曾查驗出那些假冒的使徒，揭穿他們的虛假。你曾堅定不移地為我的名受苦，沒有氣餒。但有一件事我要責備你，就是你把起初的愛心丟棄了。因此，要回想你在哪裡跌倒了，並且悔改，照起初所行的去行。否則，我就要到你那裡，將你的燈臺從原處拿走。
