自古在昔、爾攜葡萄、出於埃及、驅逐異邦之民、植於斯土、

厥後爾之上帝耶和華、導爾入所得之土、驅逐赫人、革迦西人、亞摩哩人、迦南人比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人、此七族較爾強大、

遄征前往、上帝使四邑之民咸懼、故追雅各子者、迄無一人。○

雅必禱以色列族之上帝、曰、願爾錫嘏於我、恢擴四境、眷祐乎我、免遭患難、毫無所憂。上帝允其所祈。

如爾遵從我所諭之命、愛爾上帝耶和華、恆行其道、蒙爾上帝耶和華循其所誓爾祖之言、恢廓爾境、以所許之地錫爾、則必於三邑之外、別設三邑、

鄰國畏耶和華、不敢與約沙法戰。

異邦人行此、自取污衊、故我逐之、爾勿則效、

蓋爾藩衛其家、與凡所有、使所為亨通、群畜孳息、

今日所諭、爾必守之、我將驅亞摩哩人、迦南人、赫人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人於爾前、
