永恆主對摩西說：『你上到我這裏來、到這山上；要繼續在這裏；我要將石版、我所寫的律法和誡命、賜給你，讓你指教眾民。』

而你們也顯明了你們就是基督的書信，由我們做僕役遞送的；不是用墨寫，乃是用永活上帝的靈；不是寫在石版上，乃是寫在肉質的心版上。

術士們就對法老說：『這是上帝的手指頭所作的。』法老卻心裏剛硬，不聽摩西、亞倫，正如永恆主所說的。

摩西在那裏同永恆主在一起、四十晝又四十夜：飯沒有喫，水也沒有喝。他將這約的話、就是十段話、寫在兩塊版上。摩西從西乃山上下來；摩西手裏拿着兩塊法版；從山上下來的時候，不知道自己臉上的皮膚因他和永恆主說了話而射發光芒。

但我若是靠着上帝的靈趕鬼，那麼上帝的國就臨到你們了。

那屬致死職事的制度、用文字刻在石頭上的、尚且帶着榮光而立，甚至以色列人、因摩西臉上的榮光（雖那榮光漸漸消逝）、人也不能定睛看他的臉，何況靈的職事豈不更要帶着榮光麼？

但我若是靠着上帝的手指頭趕鬼，那麼上帝的國就真地臨到你們了。

但那些日子以後，永恆主發神諭說，我跟以色列家所立的約乃是這樣：我必將我的律法放在他們裏面，寫在他們心上；我要做他們的上帝，他們要做我的子民。

摩西進入雲中上了山；摩西在山上四十晝又四十夜。

永恆主對摩西說：『你要鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣；我要將你所摔碎那先前的版、上面的話寫在這兩塊版上。明日早晨你要豫備好了；你早晨要上西乃山；在山頂上那裏晉見我。誰也不可和你一同上來；遍山都不可有人；山根也不可有羊羣牛羣在喫草。』摩西就鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣。大清早摩西便起來，照永恆主所吩咐他的上西乃山，手裏拿着兩塊石版。

我上了山、要領受石版、就是永恆主同你們立約的約版；那時我在山上住了四十晝又四十夜；飯沒有喫，水也沒有喝。永恆主把那兩塊石版交給我，是上帝用手指頭寫的；那上頭所寫的是永恆主當大眾的日子在山上從火中同你們所說的一切話。過了四十晝又四十夜，永恆主把那兩塊石版、就是約版、交給了我。
