以色列人居曠野時、遇一人於安息日採薪、遇之者解之至摩西亞倫與會眾前、囚之於獄、因尚未擬定何以處治、主諭摩西曰、其人必當治死、會眾當於營外擊之以石、於是會眾曳之營外、以石擊之死、遵主所命摩西者、○

亦賜之以我安息日、在我與彼間為證、俾彼知我耶和華使之為聖、然以色列族在曠野悖逆我、不遵我之律例、藐視我之法度、人若遵行、必由此得生、彼又大犯我之安息日、我言將震怒斯民、震怒斯民或作傾洩我之盛怒於斯民滅之於曠野、

乃子孫悖逆我、不遵我之律例、不守我之法度以行之、人若遵行、必由此得生、彼亦犯我之安息日、我言將震怒斯民、發我盛忿、滅之於曠野、我言將震怒斯民發我盛忿滅之於曠野或作我言將在曠野向彼大震我怒傾洩我之盛忿於彼

因彼不遵我之法度、藐視我之律例、犯我之安息日、其目豔羨其列祖之偶像、

示之安息聖日、託主之僕摩西命之以誡命、條例、律法、

有訟事、彼當審鞫、彼當審鞫原文作彼立以審鞫遵我法度而審鞫、在我諸節期、必守我律法禮儀、禮儀或作典章亦守我諸安息日為聖日、

當記憶安息日、守為聖日、

守安息日而不褻瀆、禁己手而不作惡、人如是行、如是持守、即為有福、異邦之人歸主者勿曰、主必別我於其民之中、閹者亦勿曰、我若枯木、主如是云、凡閹者、守我安息日、擇我所悅者、堅持我約、我必使之在我之殿中、在我之城內、有誌有名、較有子女更美、我賜之永名、歷世不朽、異邦之人歸我、崇事我、敬愛我之名、為我之僕、守安息日而不褻瀆、堅持我約、

當守安息日以為聖日、遵爾天主耶和華所命爾者、六日間可勤勞作爾諸工、第七日為爾天主耶和華之安息日、是日爾與子女奴婢及牛驢諸牲畜、並居爾邑之外邦客旅、無論何工、皆不可作、使爾奴婢安息、與爾無異、當追憶昔爾在伊及為奴、爾天主耶和華以大力大威導爾出、緣此爾天主耶和華命爾守安息日、

因彼藐視我之法度、不遵我之律例、犯我之安息日、心從其偶像、

如爾於安息日、禁止爾步履、在我聖日、不務爾事、稱安息日為可喜之日、稱主之聖日為可尊之日、尊重是日、不行爾道、不務爾事、不言虛言、則爾必因我得樂、我升爾於地之高處、使爾享爾祖雅各之業、此乃主親口所言、
