and fasten caps on them. Then tie sashes on Aaron and his sons. The priesthood is theirs by a lasting ordinance.“ Then you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.

Put caps on their heads. Tie belts on Aaron and his sons. The work of the priests belongs to them. This is my law that will last for all time to come.“ Then you must prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me.

耶和華已經准許你和你所有的弟兄，就是利未的子孫，一同親近他，你們還要求祭司的職分嗎？

你怎樣膏他們的父親，也要照樣膏他們，使他們成為事奉我的祭司。他們受了膏，就必世世代代永遠得祭司的職分。」

並蒙神照着麥基洗德的體系宣稱他為大祭司。

你要指派亞倫和他的兒子謹守祭司的職分；近前來的外人必被處死。」

沒有人可擅自取得大祭司的尊榮，惟有蒙神所選召的才可以，像亞倫一樣。同樣，基督也沒有自取作大祭司的榮耀，而是在乎向他說話的那一位，他說：「你是我的兒子，我今日生了你。」

這七天，你們不可走出會幕的門口，直等到你們聖職禮的日子滿了，因為授予你們聖職需要七天。

摩西說：「今天你們要奉獻自己來事奉耶和華，因為各人犧牲自己的兒子和弟兄，使耶和華今天賜福給你們。」

那麼，如果百姓藉着利未人的祭司職任能達到完全－因為百姓是在這職分下領受律法的－為甚麼還需要按照麥基洗德的體系另外興起一位祭司，而不按照亞倫的體系呢？既然祭司的職分已更改，律法也需要更改。因為這些話所指的人本屬別的支派，那支派裏從來沒有一人在祭壇前事奉的。很明顯地，我們的主是從猶大出來的；但關於這支派，摩西並沒有提到祭司。

這是他和他的後裔永遠當祭司職任的約，因他為了神而妒忌，他為以色列人贖罪。』」

有火從耶和華那裏出來，吞滅了那上香的二百五十人。

「你要從以色列人中，叫你的哥哥亞倫和他的兒子拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒、以他瑪一同親近你，作事奉我的祭司。

因為耶和華－你的神從你眾支派中揀選他，使他和他子孫永遠奉耶和華的名侍立、事奉。

「你要為亞倫的兒子做內袍、腰帶、頭巾，以示尊嚴和華美。要把這些給你哥哥亞倫和他的兒子穿戴，又要膏他們，授予聖職，使他們分別為聖，作事奉我的祭司。

給以色列人作紀念，為要叫亞倫子孫之外的人不得近前來，在耶和華面前燒香，免得他和可拉與同他一夥的人一樣，正如耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的。

一方面，那些成為祭司的數目本來多，是因為受死亡限制不能長久留住。另一方面，這位既是永遠留住的，他具有不可更換的祭司職任。所以，凡靠着他進到神面前的人，他都能拯救到底，因為他長遠活着為他們祈求。這樣一位聖潔、無邪惡、無玷污、遠離罪人、高過諸天的大祭司，對我們是最合適的；他不像那些大祭司，每日必須先為自己的罪，後為百姓的罪獻祭，因為他只一次將自己獻上就把這事成全了。律法所立的大祭司本是有弱點的人，但在律法以後，神以起誓的話立了兒子為大祭司，成為完全，直到永遠。
