Put caps on their heads. Tie belts on Aaron and his sons. The work of the priests belongs to them. This is my law that will last for all time to come.“ Then you must prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me.

他又把第二隻公綿羊、就是承受聖職所獻的公綿羊、牽來：亞倫和他兒子們按手在那公綿羊頭上；摩西就宰了牠；取點兒血，抹在亞倫的右耳垂上、和右手的大拇指上、跟右腳的大拇趾上。既把亞倫的兒子們引進了來，摩西就將點兒血抹在他們的右耳垂上、和右手的大拇指上、跟右腳的大拇趾上；摩西又把血潑在祭壇的四圍。他取脂肪和肥尾巴跟臟腑的一切脂肪、和肝的附屬物、跟兩個腰子和腰子的脂肪、以及右腿：又從永恆主面前裝無酵餅的筐子裏取一個無酵哈拉餅、一個調油的哈拉餅、和一個薄餅，放在脂肪和右腿上；把這一切都交在亞倫的手掌中、和他兒子們的手掌中、做搖獻物搖在永恆主面前。然後摩西就從他們的手掌上接過來，把這些物品燻在祭壇上燔祭品上面；這些是承受聖職獻為怡神之香氣的；這是獻與永恆主的火祭。

永恆主又使你和你所有的族弟兄、利未的子孫、和你一同親近他，這在你們看是小事麼？你們還要求祭司的職任麼？

用膏膏他們，正如膏他們的父親一樣，讓他們作祭司來事奉我：他們之受膏就使他們世世代代永遠當祭司的職任。』

蒙上帝稱呼為大祭司，照麥基洗德的等次。

你要派亞倫和他的兒子們；他們要謹守他們的祭司職任；走近前來非祭司的平常人必被處死。』

這尊榮、沒有人能自取，乃是蒙上帝召者所受的，像亞倫一樣。照樣，基督受職為大祭司、也沒有榮耀自己，乃是向他宣說者榮耀他，說：『你是我的兒子，我今日生了你』。

七天不可從會棚的出入處出去，直等到你們承受聖職的日子滿了，因為主要給你們行授與聖職的禮七天，

摩西說：『今天你們授聖職與自己歸永恆主了，因為各人犧牲了自己的兒子或弟兄，好使今天有祝福給予你們。』

這樣看來，倘若藉着利未人的祭司職分能有完全勝任的資格（而人民之領受了律法倒是以這職分為基本），哪裏還需要另一種的一位祭司興起來、是照麥基洗德的等次、而不稱為照亞倫的等次呢？祭司的職分既有更改，律法也就必須有更改了。因為這些話所說到的那一位、原是屬於別的支派、其中並沒有一個人伺候過祭壇的。很顯然的、我們的主是從猶大支派升起來的；而論猶大支派、摩西並沒有講到祭司的事。

要做他和他以後的苗裔永遠擔當祭司職任的約，因為他對他的上帝有妒愛熱情，並且為以色列人除罪。」』

當下又有火從永恆主那裏出來，把那獻香的二百五十個人也燒滅了。

『你要從以色列人中使你哥哥亞倫和他的兒子拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒、以他瑪跟他一同走近來到你這裏作祭司來事奉我。

因為永恆主你的上帝從你的眾族派中將他揀選出來，使他和他的子孫日日不斷地奉永恆主的名站着供職。

『要為亞倫的兒子們作內袍，給他們作長腰帶，又給他們作裹頭巾，讓他們有光輝有華美。你要把這些給你哥哥亞倫和他兒子們跟他一樣穿戴；要膏立他們，授與聖職給他們，將他們分別為聖，讓他們作祭司來事奉我。

給以色列人做記念物，叫那不是亞倫後裔的平常人不至於走近前來、在永恆主面前燒香，免得像可拉和他一黨的人那樣子：這是照永恆主由摩西經手所告訴以利亞撒的。

再者，先前的人被立為祭司，是人數眾多，因被死攔阻而不能長期任職；惟獨他、因永遠長存、就有不能讓與人的祭司職分。因此凡藉着他而進到上帝面前的人、他都能拯救到底；因為他總是活着、替他們請求。這樣的大祭司、虔聖、無邪、無染污、隔離罪人、高過諸天、正合乎我們所需要的。他無需乎像那些大祭司、每日先要替自己的罪、然後替人民的罪獻上祭物；因為他把自己獻上，就將這事儘一次作完了。律法是設立了許多人做大祭司、總是有弱點的人；但律法之後起誓的話卻是設立了一個兒子、是完全勝任到永遠的。
