其實幾乎可以說，按照律法，凡物都是用血潔淨的：沒有流血的事，就沒有赦免的事。

因為公牛和山羊的血是不能把罪除掉的。

他要出來、到永恆主面前的祭壇那裏，為壇除罪染，取公牛的一點兒血、和公山羊的血，抹在祭壇四角上的四圍。也要用指頭把血彈在祭壇上七次，使壇潔淨、免去以色列人的不潔淨，把壇分別為聖。

他要把一點兒血抹在會棚內永恆主面前香壇的四角上，又把所有的血都倒在會棚出入處燔祭壇腳那裏。
