Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments, as well as on his sons and their garments. In this way he consecrated Aaron and his garments, as well as his sons and their garments.

Remove Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar. Aaron will be gathered to his people and die there.”So Moses did as the LORD commanded, and they climbed Mount Hor in the sight of the whole community.After Moses removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar, Aaron died there on top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

You made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.

It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us— our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption—in order that, as it is written: Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.

Clothe Aaron with the holy garments, anoint him, and consecrate him, so that he can serve me as a priest.

“ The holy garments that belong to Aaron are to belong to his sons after him, so that they can be anointed and ordained in them.Any priest who is one of his sons and who succeeds him and enters the tent of meeting to minister in the sanctuary must wear them for seven days.

Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

On that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of Israel’s survivors.

For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

Confer some of your authority on him so that the entire Israelite community will obey him.He will stand before the priest Eleazar who will consult the LORD for him with the decision of the Urim. He and all the Israelites with him, even the entire community, will go out and come back in at his command.”

May your priests be clothed with righteousness, and may your faithful people shout for joy.

For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased!”

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when he appears, we will be like him because we will see him as he is.

Let your work be seen by your servants, and your splendor by their children.Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish for us the work of our hands— establish the work of our hands!

All of us have become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like a polluted garment; all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind.

I will clothe its priests with salvation, and its faithful people will shout for joy.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to gratify its desires.

But we do see Jesus— made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace he might taste death for everyone— crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death.
