“ Fashion a breastpiece for making decisions— the work of skilled hands. Make it like the ephod: of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.

“ Make a chest cloth that will be used for making decisions. Have a skilled worker make it. Make it like the linen apron. Use thin gold wire, and blue, purple and bright red yarn, and finely twisted linen.

“ You shall make a breastpiece of judgment, in skilled work. In the style of the ephod you shall make it— of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen shall you make it.

“ Then, with great skill and care, make a chestpiece to be worn for seeking a decision from God. Make it to match the ephod, using finely woven linen embroidered with gold and with blue, purple, and scarlet thread.

“ You are to make an embroidered breastpiece for making decisions. Make it with the same workmanship as the ephod; make it of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and of finely spun linen.

“ You shall make a breastpiece of judgment, the work of a skilled embroiderer; like the work of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, of violet, purple, and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen you shall make it.

“ You shall make the breastplate of judgment. Artistically woven according to the workmanship of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, you shall make it.

And thou shalt make a breastplate of judgment, the work of the skilful workman; like the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

“ You are to make an embroidered breastpiece for making decisions. Make it with the same workmanship as the ephod; make it of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and of finely spun linen.

And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it;[ of] gold,[ of] blue, and[ of] purple, and[ of] scarlet, and[ of] fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

“ You are to make a breastpiece for use in making decisions, the work of an artistic designer; you are to make it in the same fashion as the ephod; you are to make it of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen.

“ You shall make a breastplate of judgment, the work of the skillful workman; like the work of the ephod you shall make it; of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, you shall make it.

They fashioned the breastpiece— the work of a skilled craftsman. They made it like the ephod: of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.It was square— a span long and a span wide— and folded double.Then they mounted four rows of precious stones on it. The first row was carnelian, chrysolite and beryl;the second row was turquoise, lapis lazuli and emerald;the third row was jacinth, agate and amethyst;the fourth row was topaz, onyx and jasper. They were mounted in gold filigree settings.There were twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.For the breastpiece they made braided chains of pure gold, like a rope.They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and fastened the rings to two of the corners of the breastpiece.They fastened the two gold chains to the rings at the corners of the breastpiece,and the other ends of the chains to the two settings, attaching them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front.They made two gold rings and attached them to the other two corners of the breastpiece on the inside edge next to the ephod.Then they made two more gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the seam just above the waistband of the ephod.They tied the rings of the breastpiece to the rings of the ephod with blue cord, connecting it to the waistband so that the breastpiece would not swing out from the ephod— as the Lord commanded Moses. Also put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece, so they may be over Aaron’s heart whenever he enters the presence of the Lord. Thus Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the Lord. (niv)

He placed the breastpiece on him and put the Urim and Thummim in the breastpiece. (niv)

These are the garments they are to make: a breastpiece, an ephod, a robe, a woven tunic, a turban and a sash. They are to make these sacred garments for your brother Aaron and his sons, so they may serve me as priests. (niv)
