“ Build an altar of acacia wood, three cubits high; it is to be square, five cubits long and five cubits wide.

So Gad went to David that day and told him,“ Go up and build an altar for the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

We have an altar that those who serve in the tabernacle have no right to eat from.

and Moses wrote down all the words of the LORD. Early in the morning he built an altar at the foot of the mountain and arranged twelve standing stones– according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

He also put the altar for the burnt offering by the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

‘ You must make for me an altar made of earth, and you will sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I cause my name to be honored I will come to you and I will bless you.If you make me an altar of stone, you must not build it of stones shaped with tools, for if you use your tool on it you have defiled it.And you must not go up by steps to my altar, so that your nakedness is not exposed.’
