Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said,“ This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

因为公牛和山羊的血，不可能把罪孽除去。所以，基督进入世界的时候，他说：“神哪，祭物和供物不是你所希望的；你为我预备了一个身体。

晚餐后，他也照样拿起杯来，说：“这杯是用我的血所立的新约。你们每逢喝的时候，应当如此行，为的是记念我。”

因为这是我的血，是为立约的，为许多人所流的，使罪得赦免。

愿赐平安的神，就是藉着永恒之约的血，把群羊的大牧人我们的主耶稣从死人中领上来的那一位，

耶稣对他们说：“这是我的血，是为立约的，为许多人所流的。

就是按照父神的预知，藉着圣灵分别为圣，以致顺从耶稣基督，又蒙他宝血所洒的人：愿恩典与平安多多地加给你们！

晚餐后，他也照样拿起杯来，说：“这杯是用我的血所立的新约，为你们所流的。

照样，他也要使多国因他震惊；君王们要因他闭口。未曾讲述给他们的事，他们必看见；他们未曾听说的事，他们必领悟。”

在他里面，我们藉着他的血，得蒙救赎、过犯得到赦免，都是出于神恩典的丰盛。

原来不用血，第一个约也不能成立，就是说，摩西按照律法向全体民众宣讲了所有的诫命之后，拿了牛犊和山羊的血，掺上水，用深红色的羊毛和牛膝草，洒在那书卷上和全体民众身上，说：“这是立约的血，是神吩咐给你们的。”然后，他又同样地把血洒在会幕和服事用的所有器皿上。
