But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

If the accuser has brought false charges against his fellow Israelite,you must impose on the accuser the sentence he intended for the other person. In this way, you will purge such evil from among you.Then the rest of the people will hear about it and be afraid to do such an evil thing.You must show no pity for the guilty! Your rule should be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Don’t do as the wicked do, and don’t follow the path of evildoers.Don’t even think about it; don’t go that way. Turn away and keep moving.

The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet.

“ What should we do?” asked some soldiers. John replied,“ Don’t extort money or make false accusations. And be content with your pay.”

But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
