“ If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year, he shall go free, without paying anything.

如爾同儕、希伯來人、或男或女、自鬻於爾、六年服役、越至七年、必釋之。既釋之、毋使徒手而去。必由羊群穀場酒醡、以為給予、惟取豐腆、循爾上帝耶和華錫嘏於爾。爾當憶念、昔在埃及、爾為人役、乃爾上帝耶和華贖爾、故我以此諭爾。

僕既事爾六年、則值倍於傭人、故釋之時、毋以為難、如是爾上帝耶和華、於凡所為、必錫嘏於爾。○

告之曰、每七載使人相釋之年、搆廬節期、

告之曰、我之同宗、猶大人、鬻於異邦、我盡力贖之、爾乃以同宗為奇貨乎、眾無詞以對。

西底家王與耶路撒冷民約勿使我猶大國百姓供其役事、凡得希百來男女為僕婢者、當釋之。

如宗族貧乏、自鬻於爾、勿視若奴、當偕爾居、如傭人旅人然、供爾役事、以待禧年、屆期、彼及子女、必去爾家、仍歸其所、復得前人遺業。昔我導以色列族出埃及、為我臣僕、故不得鬻為賤役、勿治以嚴、宜畏爾之上帝。異邦之民、來自四方者、可購為僕婢。外人旅於爾中、生於爾地者、可購而得之、

每七年後、必有所釋、

金所購之僕、既受割禮則可食。

匹夫匹婦號呼、怨其同宗猶大人、或曰、我已頻鬻子女、易穀養生。或曰、飢饉既甚、我已質田園宅第於人以糴穀。或曰、我之田園、已質於人、得金以納稅。我及我子、與同宗何異、奚以我之子女、為人服役、我有數女為人所玷、欲拯無能、我之田園、為人所據。

先知眾徒中、有妻一人、求以利沙曰、我之夫子、亦爾之徒、素畏耶和華、乃爾所知、今己死矣、有貸金者至、欲取我二子、供其僕役。

既無可償、主命鬻其身、與妻孥、及其所有以償、

願上帝賜爾天降甘露、地常肥美、穀與酒、既豐且盛。

乃主贖之、爾身爾神、既屬上帝、故當歸榮上帝也、

旭日已升、而被擊死者、必償。盜必倍償所竊、如無有以償、鬻之為奴。

以掃曰、宜其名雅各彼欺我者再、昔奪我長子業、今又奪我祝嘏耶、又曰、豈更無嘏、可為我祝乎。
