“ These are the laws you are to set before them:

And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and rules, that you might do them in the land that you are going over to possess.

“ When your son asks you in time to come,‘ What is the meaning of the testimonies and the statutes and the rules that the Lord our God has commanded you?’

Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the rules. And all the people answered with one voice and said,“ All the words that the Lord has spoken we will do.”And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. He rose early in the morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

whenever a case comes to you from your brothers who live in their cities, concerning bloodshed, law or commandment, statutes or rules, then you shall warn them, that they may not incur guilt before the Lord and wrath may not come upon you and your brothers. You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven and gave them right rules and true laws, good statutes and commandments,and you made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them commandments and statutes and a law by Moses your servant.

Moreover, I gave them statutes that were not good and rules by which they could not have life,

teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

And you shall observe all my statutes and all my rules, and do them: I am the Lord.”

These are the testimonies, the statutes, and the rules, which Moses spoke to the people of Israel when they came out of Egypt,

See, I have taught you statutes and rules, as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should do them in the land that you are entering to take possession of it.

He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and rules to Israel.

And what great nation is there, that has statutes and rules so righteous as all this law that I set before you today?
