「『你曾看見我們祖先在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

耶和華說：「你做了甚麼事呢？你弟弟血的聲音從地裏向我哀號。

耶和華在米甸對摩西說：「你要回埃及去，因為那些尋索你命的人都死了。」

要當日給他工錢，不可等到日落，因為他困苦，需要靠工錢過活，免得他因你的緣故求告耶和華，罪就歸於你了。

耶和華對以色列人說：「我豈沒有救你們脫離埃及人、亞摩利人、亞捫人和非利士人嗎？西頓人、亞瑪力人和馬雲人欺壓你們，你們哀求我，我也拯救你們脫離他們的手。
