並說：「你如今懷孕要生一個兒子，可以給他起名叫以實瑪利，因為耶和華聽見了你的苦情。

這都要在埃及地為萬軍之耶和華作記號和證據。埃及人因為受人的欺壓哀求耶和華，他就差遣一位救主作護衛者，拯救他們。

我在急難中求告耶和華，向我的神呼求。他從殿中聽了我的聲音；我在他面前的呼求入了他的耳中。

於是，他們在苦難中哀求耶和華；他從他們的禍患中拯救他們。他發命醫治他們，救他們脫離死亡。

不可苦待寡婦和孤兒；若是苦待他們一點，他們向我一哀求，我總要聽他們的哀聲，並要發烈怒，用刀殺你們，使你們的妻子為寡婦，兒女為孤兒。「我民中有貧窮人與你同住，你若借錢給他，不可如放債的向他取利。你即或拿鄰舍的衣服作當頭，必在日落以先歸還他；因他只有這一件當蓋頭，是他蓋身的衣服，若是沒有，他拿甚麼睡覺呢？他哀求我，我就應允，因為我是有恩惠的。

「你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，

耶和華說：「你做了甚麼事呢？你兄弟的血有聲音從地裏向我哀告。

耶和華在米甸對摩西說：「你要回埃及去，因為尋索你命的人都死了。」

要當日給他工價，不可等到日落－因為他窮苦，把心放在工價上－恐怕他因你求告耶和華，罪便歸你了。

耶和華對以色列人說：「我豈沒有救過你們脫離埃及人、亞摩利人、亞捫人，和非利士人嗎？西頓人、亞瑪力人、馬雲人也都欺壓你們；你們哀求我，我也拯救你們脫離他們的手。

神說：我使你的肩得脫重擔，你的手放下筐子。你在急難中呼求，我就搭救你；我在雷的隱密處應允你，在米利巴水那裏試驗你。（細拉）

耶和華說：因為困苦人的冤屈和貧窮人的歎息，我現在要起來，把他安置在他所切慕的穩妥之地。
