眾民同聲相應曰、凡主所諭、我必遵行、摩西以民之言覆於主、

The people all responded together,“ We will do everything the Lord has said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the Lord.

又將約書念給人民聽；眾民說：『凡永恆主所說的、我們都要遵行。』

摩西來到，將永恆主的一切話、一切典章、都向人民敘說；眾民都齊聲答應說：『永恆主所說的話、我們都要遵行。』

對摩西說：『你對我們說話吧，我們就要聽；可別讓上帝和我們說話呀，恐怕我們死亡。』

你今日使永恆主宣言他是你的上帝，你要行他的道路，謹守他的律例誡命和典章，聽他的聲音。永恆主今日也使你宣言你是屬於他、做他自己所有的子民、照他對你所說過的，你要謹守他的一切誡命，他也要使你很高超、勝過他所造的列國，使你得稱讚得美名和榮華，並使你做聖別的子民、屬於永恆主你的上帝，照他所說過的。』

人民對約書亞說：『永恆主我們的上帝、我們要事奉；他的聲音、我們要聽從。』

都堅持跟着他們的族弟兄貴顯人參加發咒起誓的事、要力行上帝的律法，由上帝的僕人摩西經手所傳授的，要謹守遵行永恆主我們的主的一切誡命典章律例；

如今只求你，你走近前去，聽永恆主我們的上帝所要說的一切話，然後你、將永恆主我們的上帝所對你說的一切話、對我們說，我們就聽從、就遵行。」『你們對我說話的時候、你們說話的話意、永恆主都聽出來了；永恆主就對我說：「這人民對你說話、其話意我都聽出來了；他們所說的、都說得對。惟願他們常存着這樣的心，日日不斷地敬畏我，守我一切的誡命，使他們和他們的子孫永遠平安順遂。
