And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

And anyone who touches his bed shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening.

Then Joshua said to the people,“ Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

and whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.

And the Levites purified themselves from sin and washed their clothes, and Aaron offered them as a wave offering before the Lord, and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments.And the angel said to those who were standing before him,“ Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said,“ Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.”

But the priests were too few and could not flay all the burnt offerings, so until other priests had consecrated themselves, their brothers the Levites helped them, until the work was finished— for the Levites were more upright in heart than the priests in consecrating themselves.

And he said,“ Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” And he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

For there were many in the assembly who had not consecrated themselves. Therefore the Levites had to slaughter the Passover lamb for everyone who was not clean, to consecrate it to the Lord.For a majority of the people, many of them from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than as prescribed. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying,“ May the good Lord pardon everyonewho sets his heart to seek God, the Lord, the God of his fathers, even though not according to the sanctuary’s rules of cleanness.”

So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and consecrated the people; and they washed their garments.And he said to the people,“ Be ready for the third day; do not go near a woman.”

You must wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean. And afterward you may come into the camp.”

I said to him,“ Sir, you know.” And he said to me,“ These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
