以色列人對他們說：「我們寧願在埃及地死在耶和華手中！那時我們坐在肉鍋旁，吃餅得飽。你們卻將我們領出來，到這曠野，要叫這全會眾都餓死啊！」

说：“巴不得我们早死在埃及地、耶和华的手下；那时我们坐在肉锅旁边，吃得饱足。你们将我们领出来，到这旷野，是要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地死在耶和华手中！那时我们坐在肉锅旁，吃饼得饱。你们却将我们领出来，到这旷野，要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

“我们还不如当初在埃及就死在耶和华手中。在那里，我们至少可以围在肉锅旁吃个饱。现在，你把我们带到旷野来，是要叫全体会众饿死在这里吗？”

以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地坐在肉锅旁边，吃饭吃到饱的时候，死在耶和华的手里！你们倒把我们领出来，到这旷野，是要叫这全体会众饿死啊！”

說：「巴不得我們早死在埃及地、耶和華的手下；那時我們坐在肉鍋旁邊，吃得飽足。你們將我們領出來，到這曠野，是要叫這全會眾都餓死啊！」

以色列人對他們說：“我們寧願在埃及地坐在肉鍋旁邊，吃飯吃到飽的時候，死在耶和華的手裡！你們倒把我們領出來，到這曠野，是要叫這全體會眾餓死啊！”

以色列人對他們說：『巴不得我們在埃及地早死在永恆主手裏；那時我們坐在肉鍋旁邊，喫餅喫到飽飽地，你們竟將我們領出來、到這曠野，要叫這全體大眾都餓死啊！』

願在埃及、死於耶和華手、爾時坐於肉鼎之側、食餅而飽、爾導我入此野、是欲以饑殺斯會眾也、○

曰昔我在埃及有肉盈鼎、有餅果腹、盍乘此時、死於耶和華手、奚導我於野、使會眾饑而死乎、

以色列人謂之曰、願主使我死於伊及地、我在彼有肉盈釜、有餅可飽、何導我於此曠野、使斯眾饑而死乎、

The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”

The Israelites said to them,“ We wish the Lord had put us to death in Egypt. There we sat around pots of meat. We ate all the food we wanted. But you have brought us out into this desert. You must want this entire community to die of hunger.”

and the people of Israel said to them,“ Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

“ If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned.“ There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”

The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by pots of meat and ate all the bread we wanted. Instead, you brought us into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger!”

The sons of Israel said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread until we were full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger!”

And the children of Israel said to them,“ Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

and the children of Israel said unto them, Would that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh- pots, when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by pots of meat and ate all the bread we wanted. Instead, you brought us into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger!”

And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots,[ and] when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this desert to kill this whole assembly with hunger!”

and the children of Israel said to them,“ We wish that we had died by Yahweh’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

他們中間的閒雜人動了貪慾的心；以色列人又再哭着說：「誰給我們肉吃呢？我們記得在埃及的時候，不花錢就可以吃魚，還有黃瓜、西瓜、韭菜、蔥、蒜。

被刀劍刺殺的勝過因飢餓而死的；飢餓者由於缺乏田裏的出產就消瘦而亡。

百姓在那裏口渴要喝水，就向摩西發怨言，說：「你為甚麼把我們從埃及領出來，使我們和我們的兒女，以及牲畜都渴死呢？」

百姓與摩西爭鬧，說：「我們恨不得與我們的弟兄一同死在耶和華面前。你們為甚麼領耶和華的會眾到這曠野，使我們和我們的牲畜都死在這裏呢？你們為甚麼領我們從埃及上來，把我們帶到這壞的地方呢？這地方不能撒種，沒有無花果樹、葡萄樹、石榴樹，也沒有水喝。」

你因心中的恐懼，眼睛所見的景象，早晨必說：『但願現在是晚上！』晚上必說：『但願現在是早晨！』

以色列眾人向摩西和亞倫發怨言，全會眾對他們說：「我們寧願死在埃及地，寧願死在這曠野！

約書亞說：「唉！主耶和華啊，你為甚麼領這百姓過約旦河，把我們交在亞摩利人手中，使我們滅亡呢？我們不如住在約旦河的那邊！

你們已經飽足了，已經富足了，用不着我們，自己就作王了。我願意你們果真作王，讓我們也可以與你們一同作王！

保羅說：「無論少勸還是多勸，我向神所求的，不但你一個人，就是今天所有聽我說話的人都要像我一樣，只是不要有這些鎖鏈。」

他磨煉你，任你飢餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，使你知道，人活着，不是單靠食物，乃是靠耶和華口裏所出的一切話。

太陽出來的時候，神安排炎熱的東風，太陽曝曬約拿的頭，使他發昏，他就為自己求死，說：「我死了比活着更好！」神對約拿說：「你因這棵蓖麻這樣發怒，對嗎？」他說：「我發怒以至於死，都是對的！」

王戰抖，就上城門的樓房去痛哭，一面走一面說：「我兒押沙龍啊！我兒，我兒押沙龍啊！我恨不得替你死，押沙龍啊，我兒！我兒！」

過了許多年，埃及王死了。以色列人因做苦工，就嘆息哀求；他們因苦工所發出的哀聲達於神。

就向他們說：「願耶和華鑒察你們，施行判斷，因為你們使我們在法老和他臣僕面前有了臭名，把刀遞在他們手中來殺我們。」

如果你這樣待我，倒不如立刻把我殺了吧！我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你不要讓我再受這樣的苦。」

願我出生的那日受詛咒！願我母親生我的那天不蒙福！報信給我父親說「你得了兒子」，使我父親甚歡喜的，願那人受詛咒。願那人像耶和華所傾覆而不憐惜的城鎮；願他早晨聽見哀聲，中午聽見吶喊；因他沒有在我未出胎就把我殺了，以致我母親成為我的墳墓，她卻一直懷着胎。我為何出胎見勞碌愁苦，在羞愧中度盡我的年日呢？

你把我們從流奶與蜜之地領出來，讓我們死在曠野，這豈是小事？你還要自立為王管轄我們嗎？

「遭受患難的人為何有光賜給他呢？心中愁苦的人為何有生命賜給他呢？

此後，約伯開口詛咒自己的生日。

因它沒有把懷我胎的門關閉，也沒有從我的眼中隱藏患難。

但願你們容忍我小小的愚蠢；請你們務必容忍我。

他們並不問：『那領我們從埃及地上來，引導我們走過曠野、沙漠有坑洞之地，走過乾旱死蔭、無人經過、無人居住之地的耶和華在哪裏呢？』

第二天，以色列全會眾都向摩西、亞倫發怨言說：「你們殺了耶和華的百姓了。」
