以色列人對他們說：『巴不得我們在埃及地早死在永恆主手裏；那時我們坐在肉鍋旁邊，喫餅喫到飽飽地，你們竟將我們領出來、到這曠野，要叫這全體大眾都餓死啊！』

说：“巴不得我们早死在埃及地、耶和华的手下；那时我们坐在肉锅旁边，吃得饱足。你们将我们领出来，到这旷野，是要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地死在耶和华手中！那时我们坐在肉锅旁，吃饼得饱。你们却将我们领出来，到这旷野，要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

“我们还不如当初在埃及就死在耶和华手中。在那里，我们至少可以围在肉锅旁吃个饱。现在，你把我们带到旷野来，是要叫全体会众饿死在这里吗？”

以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地坐在肉锅旁边，吃饭吃到饱的时候，死在耶和华的手里！你们倒把我们领出来，到这旷野，是要叫这全体会众饿死啊！”

說：「巴不得我們早死在埃及地、耶和華的手下；那時我們坐在肉鍋旁邊，吃得飽足。你們將我們領出來，到這曠野，是要叫這全會眾都餓死啊！」

願在埃及、死於耶和華手、爾時坐於肉鼎之側、食餅而飽、爾導我入此野、是欲以饑殺斯會眾也、○

曰昔我在埃及有肉盈鼎、有餅果腹、盍乘此時、死於耶和華手、奚導我於野、使會眾饑而死乎、

以色列人謂之曰、願主使我死於伊及地、我在彼有肉盈釜、有餅可飽、何導我於此曠野、使斯眾饑而死乎、

The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”

The Israelites said to them,“ We wish the Lord had put us to death in Egypt. There we sat around pots of meat. We ate all the food we wanted. But you have brought us out into this desert. You must want this entire community to die of hunger.”

and the people of Israel said to them,“ Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

“ If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned.“ There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”

The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by pots of meat and ate all the bread we wanted. Instead, you brought us into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger!”

The sons of Israel said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread until we were full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger!”

And the children of Israel said to them,“ Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

and the children of Israel said unto them, Would that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh- pots, when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by pots of meat and ate all the bread we wanted. Instead, you brought us into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger!”

And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots,[ and] when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this desert to kill this whole assembly with hunger!”

and the children of Israel said to them,“ We wish that we had died by Yahweh’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

他們中間烏合之眾大起貪慾之心，以色列人也再哭着說：『我們若有肉喫多好呀！我們還記得在埃及不花錢所喫的魚呢；也記得那黃瓜、西瓜、韮菜、葱、蒜呢。

被刀刺死的比被饑荒餓死的還好，因為前者雖被刺傷，還可以喫田間的出產。

人民在那裏渴得要水喝，就向摩西發怨言說：『你這個人為甚麼將我們從埃及領出來，要使我們和兒女跟牲畜都渴死呢？』

人民和摩西吵鬧，條陳說：『我們的族弟兄曾死在永恆主面前，我們巴不得那時候也死好啦！你們為甚麼把永恆主的大眾領到這曠野，讓我們和我們的牲口都死在這裏呢？你們為甚麼硬叫我們從埃及上來、而帶領我們到這壞地方呢？這並不是撒種子的地方呀！不是栽無花果樹、葡萄樹、石榴樹的地方呀！又沒有水喝。』

因你心裏所恐懼的事、和你眼中所看見的景況，早晨你必說：「巴不得到晚上才好呢！」晚上你必說：「巴不得到早晨才好呢！」

以色列眾人向摩西、亞倫發怨言；全會眾對他們說：『巴不得我們早死在埃及地！巴不得我們早死在這曠野！

約書亞說：『哀啊，主永恆主啊，你為甚麼竟領這人民過約但河、將我們交在亞摩利人手中、使我們滅亡呢？巴不得我們住在約但河東那邊倒還甘心呢！

你們已經飽滿了！你們已經富足了！你們作了王、把我們邋下了！我巴不得你們果真做了王，讓我們也可以和你們同掌王權啊！

保羅說：『我禱告上帝、無論用幾句、或許多句、不但使你、也使今天聽我的人、都像我這樣，可不要有這些鎖鍊。』

他使你受苦，任你饑餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你喫，使你知道人活着、不是單靠着食物，人活着、乃是靠着永恆主口裏所出的一切話。

日出時，上帝又安排了炎熱的東風，日頭曬了約拿的頭，以致他暈過去，他就為自己求死，說：『我死了比活着還好。』上帝對約拿說：『你因這棵蓖麻樹來發怒對不對啊？』他說：『我發怒到死都是對的。』

王周身戰抖，就上城門樓上去哭：一面哭，一面這樣說：『我兒押沙龍啊，我兒，我兒押沙龍啊，我恨不得替你死！押沙龍啊，我兒，我兒！』

那許多日子當中、埃及王死了。以色列人因作苦工而歎息，就哀呼；他們作苦工的呼救聲上達於上帝。

就對他們說：『願永恆主鑒察你們，審判你們，因為你們使我們的香氣在法老和他臣僕面前都發臭了，你們把刀遞在他們手中來殺我們。』

你既這樣待我，我若在你面前蒙恩，求你乾脆將我殺掉，免得我見自己的苦處。』

願我生的那一日受咒詛！願我母親生了我的那一天不蒙祝福！那給我父親報消息說：『有男孩給你生下來了！』使我父親歡喜快樂的，願那人受咒詛！願那人像永恆主所傾覆的城，而永恆主並不改變心意的；願他早晨聽見哀呼聲，而中午時分又聽見吶喊；因為永恆主不使我死於母胎，好讓我母親做我的墳墓，而母胎永遠懷着。我為甚麼出母胎而見勞碌辛苦，以致我的年日都消耗於失望中呢？

你將我們從流奶與蜜之地領上來，要在曠野害死我們，這是小事麼？你還要自立為王子來管理我們麼？

『為甚麼有光賜給受苦難的人？而有生命給心裏愁苦的人呢？

此後約伯便開口咒詛他自己的生日。

因為它沒有把懷我的胎門閉着，沒有對我的眼隱藏着苦難。

我巴不得你們容忍我一點兒愚氣；實在的，你們該容忍我。

他們也不追問說：「那領我們從埃及地上來，引導我們經過曠野，經過原野有深坑之地，乾旱漆黑之地，無人經過、無人居住之地的永恆主在哪裏呢？」

第二天、以色列人全會眾都向摩西、亞倫發怨言、說：『是你們二人把永恆主的人民害死了的。』
