When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other,“ What is it?” For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them,“ It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat.

The people of Israel saw the flakes. They asked each other,“ What’s that?” They didn’t know what it was. Moses said to them,“ It’s the bread the Lord has given you to eat.

When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another,“ What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them,“ It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat.

The Israelites were puzzled when they saw it.“ What is it?” they asked each other. They had no idea what it was. And Moses told them,“ It is the food the Lord has given you to eat.

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，我要从天降食物给你们。百姓可以出去，每天收集当天的分量。这样，我就可以考验他们是否遵行我的指示。

他磨炼你，任你饥饿，将你和你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，使你知道，人活着，不是单靠食物，乃是靠耶和华口里所出的一切话。

以色列家给这食物取名叫吗哪，它的样子像芫荽子，颜色是白的，吃起来像和蜜的薄饼。

并且都吃了一样的灵粮，

他们吃了当地出产的第二日，吗哪就停止了。以色列人不再有吗哪了。那一年，他们就吃迦南地的出产。

我们的祖宗在旷野吃过吗哪，如经上写着：‘他从天上赐下粮食来给他们吃。’”于是耶稣对他们说：“我实实在在地告诉你们，那从天上来的粮不是摩西赐给你们的，那从天上来的真粮是我父赐给你们的。

这是从天上降下来的粮，不像你们的祖宗吃过吗哪还是死了；吃这粮的人将永远活着。”

你从天上赐下粮食给他们充饥，使水从磐石流出给他们解渴。你吩咐他们进去，得你起誓应许要赐给他们的地。

“你们来，吃我的饼，喝我调的酒。

百姓向上帝和摩西发怨言，说：“你们为什么把我们从埃及领上来，使我们死在旷野呢？这里没有粮食，没有水，我们厌恶这淡而无味的食物。”

你们的祖宗在旷野吃过吗哪，还是死了。

你赐下你良善的灵教导他们，没有收回吗哪不给他们吃，仍赐水给他们解渴。

这都是世上的外邦人所求的；你们需要这些东西，你们的父都知道。

摩西对亚伦说：“你拿一个罐子，装满一俄梅珥的吗哪，存在耶和华面前，留给你们的后代。”

又在旷野将你列祖所不认识的吗哪赐给你吃，为要磨炼你，考验你，终久使你享福。

凡有耳朵的都应当听圣灵向众教会所说的话。得胜的，我必将那隐藏的吗哪赐给他，并赐他一块白石，石上写着新的名字，除了那领受的以外，没有人认识。’”

有金香坛和四周包金的约柜，柜里有盛吗哪的金罐、亚伦那根发过芽的杖和两块约版；
