“ In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble.

Because of your great majesty, you threw down those who opposed you. Your burning anger blazed out. It burned them up like straw.

In the greatness of your majesty you overthrow your adversaries; you send out your fury; it consumes them like stubble.

In the greatness of your majesty, you overthrow those who rise against you. You unleash your blazing fury; it consumes them like straw.

You overthrew your adversaries by your great majesty. You unleashed your burning wrath; it consumed them like stubble.

And in the greatness of Your excellence You overthrow those who rise up against You; You send out Your burning anger, and it consumes them like chaff.

And in the greatness of Your excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath; It consumed them like stubble.

And in the greatness of thine excellency thou overthrowest them that rise up against thee: Thou sendest forth thy wrath, it consumeth them as stubble.

You overthrew Your adversaries by Your great majesty. You unleashed Your burning wrath; it consumed them like stubble.

Make them like tumbleweed, my God, like chaff before the wind. (niv)

Because you rage against me and because your insolence has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will make you return by the way you came. (niv)

Whatever they plot against the Lord he will bring to an end; trouble will not come a second time.They will be entangled among thorns and drunk from their wine; they will be consumed like dry stubble.From you, Nineveh, has one come forth who plots evil against the Lord and devises wicked plans.This is what the Lord says:“ Although they have allies and are numerous, they will be destroyed and pass away. Although I have afflicted you, Judah, I will afflict you no more. (niv)

Who is it you have ridiculed and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel! (niv)

One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisrok, his sons Adrammelek and Sharezer killed him with the sword, and they escaped to the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son succeeded him as king. (niv)
