Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.

是的，神哪，你察验了我们，你熬炼了我们，如同熬炼银子！

在他的祭司中有摩西和亚伦，在呼求他名的人中有撒母耳，他们向耶和华呼求，他就回应他们。

原来，十字架的福音对那些正在灭亡的人来说，是愚拙的；但是对我们这些正在被拯救的人来说，却是神的大能。

你在患难中呼求，我搭救了你，我在雷霆的隐秘处回应了你，在米利巴的水边察验了你。细拉

他呼求我，我就回应他；他在患难中，我就与他同在；我要搭救他，使他得尊荣。

为此，你们欢欣跳跃，但如今必须在种种试炼中暂时忧伤，好让你们的信仰经过考验，就比那被火炼过仍然会朽坏的金子更加宝贵，能在耶稣基督显现的时候，被看为是可以得着称赞、荣耀和尊贵的。

熔锅用以炼银，熔炉用以炼金；而耶和华察验人心。

在患难的日子里，你当呼求我，我必搭救你，而你将荣耀我。”
