I will harden Pharaoh’s heart so that he will pursue them. Then I will receive glory by means of Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So the Israelites did this.

我要使法老的心刚硬，他要追赶他们，我便在法老和他全军身上得荣耀；埃及人就知道我是耶和华。”于是以色列人这样行了。

我必使之剛愎厥心、追襲於後、我將獲榮於法老、及其軍旅、俾埃及人知我為耶和華、以色列人遂如是行、

法老剛愎厥心、追襲爾後、我姑聽之、迨殲法老、覆其軍、以獲大榮、使埃及人知行是事者、我耶和華也。以色列族遵命而行。○

我使法老剛愎其心、追以色列人、我則因法老與其全軍而獲大榮、俾伊及人知我乃主、以色列人遂如此行、

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So the Israelites did this.

I will make Pharaoh stubborn. He will chase them. But I will gain glory for myself because of what will happen to Pharaoh and his whole army. And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So the Israelites camped by the Red Sea.

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord.” And they did so.

And once again I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after you. I have planned this in order to display my glory through Pharaoh and his whole army. After this the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord!” So the Israelites camped there as they were told.

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them; and I will be honored through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” And they did so.

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I[ am] the LORD. And they did so.

I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them. I will gain honor because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So this is what they did.

And what if God, wanting to display his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience objects of wrath prepared for destruction?And what if he did this to make known the riches of his glory on objects of mercy that he prepared beforehand for glory—

The Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring out the Israelites from among them.”

For the Scripture tells Pharaoh, I raised you up for this reason so that I may display my power in you and that my name may be proclaimed in the whole earth.

But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.

However, I have let you live for this purpose: to show you my power and to make my name known on the whole earth.

This is what the LORD says: Here is how you will know that I am the LORD. Watch. I am about to strike the water in the Nile with the staff in my hand, and it will turn to blood.

But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.LORD, who is like you among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, revered with praises, performing wonders?

But I acted for the sake of my name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations they were living among, in whose sight I had made myself known to Israel by bringing them out of Egypt.

As for me, I am going to harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them, and I will receive glory by means of Pharaoh, all his army, and his chariots and horsemen.The Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I receive glory through Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

When the peoples hear, they will shudder; anguish will seize the inhabitants of Philistia.Then the chiefs of Edom will be terrified; trembling will seize the leaders of Moab; all the inhabitants of Canaan will panic;terror and dread will fall on them. They will be as still as a stone because of your powerful arm until your people pass by, LORD, until the people whom you purchased pass by.

the king exclaimed,“ Is this not Babylon the Great that I have built to be a royal residence by my vast power and for my majestic glory?”While the words were still in the king’s mouth, a voice came from heaven:“ King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared that the kingdom has departed from you.You will be driven away from people to live with the wild animals, and you will feed on grass like cattle for seven periods of time, until you acknowledge that the Most High is ruler over human kingdoms, and he gives them to anyone he wants.”At that moment the message against Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people. He ate grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with dew from the sky, until his hair grew like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.But at the end of those days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven, and my sanity returned to me. Then I praised the Most High and honored and glorified him who lives forever: For his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation.All the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing, and he does what he wants with the army of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who can block his hand or say to him,“ What have you done?”At that time my sanity returned to me, and my majesty and splendor returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and my nobles sought me out, I was reestablished over my kingdom, and even more greatness came to me.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of the heavens, because all his works are true and his ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

After this I heard something like the loud voice of a vast multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God,because his judgments are true and righteous, because he has judged the notorious prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality; and he has avenged the blood of his servants that was on her hands.A second time they said, Hallelujah! Her smoke ascends forever and ever!Then the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who is seated on the throne, saying, Amen! Hallelujah!A voice came from the throne, saying, Praise our God, all his servants, and the ones who fear him, both small and great!Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound of cascading waters, and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying, Hallelujah, because our Lord God, the Almighty, reigns!

The LORD instructed Moses,“ When you go back to Egypt, make sure you do before Pharaoh all the wonders that I have put within your power. But I will harden his heart so that he won’t let the people go.And you will say to Pharaoh: This is what the LORD says: Israel is my firstborn son.I told you: Let my son go so that he may worship me, but you refused to let him go. Look, I am about to kill your firstborn son!”On the trip, at an overnight campsite, it happened that the LORD confronted him and intended to put him to death.So Zipporah took a flint, cut off her son’s foreskin, threw it at Moses’s feet, and said,“ You are a bridegroom of blood to me!”So he let him alone. At that time she said,“ You are a bridegroom of blood,” referring to the circumcision.Now the LORD had said to Aaron,“ Go and meet Moses in the wilderness.” So he went and met him at the mountain of God and kissed him.Moses told Aaron everything the LORD had sent him to say, and about all the signs he had commanded him to do.Then Moses and Aaron went and assembled all the elders of the Israelites.Aaron repeated everything the LORD had said to Moses and performed the signs before the people.The people believed, and when they heard that the LORD had paid attention to them and that he had seen their misery, they knelt low and worshiped.

However, Pharaoh’s heart was hard, and he did not listen to them, as the LORD had said.Then the LORD said to Moses,“ Pharaoh’s heart is hard: He refuses to let the people go.

The LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the Israelites, who were going out defiantly.

The pride of mankind will be humbled, and human loftiness will be brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted on that day.For a day belonging to the LORD of Armies is coming against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up— it will be humbled—

All the people of the land will bury them and their fame will spread on the day I display my glory. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods, because he did wonders when the Egyptians acted arrogantly against Israel.”

You performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, all his officials, and all the people of his land, for you knew how arrogantly they treated our ancestors. You made a name for yourself that endures to this day.

as it is written, God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that cannot see and ears that cannot hear, to this day.

You are to say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Look! I am against you, Sidon, and I will display my glory within you. They will know that I am the LORD when I execute judgments against her and demonstrate my holiness through her.
