昔約瑟言上帝必眷顧以色列族、故使民發誓、攜己骨以歸、摩西乃歸其骨。

Moses took the bones of Joseph with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said,“ God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.”

約瑟謂兄弟曰、我死期將至、上帝必眷顧爾、導爾出斯土、反至所誓賜亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地。約瑟使以色列族發誓、云、上帝必眷顧爾、爾當攜我骨出於是邦。

昔以色列族攜約瑟骨出埃及、今葬於示劍、在雅各向示劍父哈抹族、捐百金所購之地、為約瑟後裔之業。

反葬敘劍之墓、乃敘劍之哈抹子孫之地、亞伯拉罕以金買之者、

民篤信之、既聞耶和華眷顧以色列族、矜其患難、無不稽首崇拜、

鄰里親戚、聞主大矜恤之、皆樂、

以色列語約瑟曰、我死期將至、上帝必祐爾、使爾返於爾祖所旅之處。

眾駭、歸榮上帝、曰大先知興於我中、上帝眷顧其民矣、
