『所以你們要把我這些話放在心裏，存在意念中；要繫在手上做記號；這些話要在你們額上做綁額帶。

他們所行的一切事，都是要給人看的，因為他們把小匣經文帶加寬了，衣裳繸子加長了。

在你所住的房屋上、這血要給你們做記號；我一見這血。就把你們越過去；我擊打埃及地的時候，就不至於有疫病臨到你們身上來滅你們。

永恆主就用大力的手和伸出的膀臂、行了大大驚人的事和神迹奇事，將我們從埃及領出來，

用來磨鍊你的兒女；無論你是坐在家裏，是行在路上，是躺下、是起來，都要講論。你要把這些話繫在手上做記號；這些話要在你額上做綁額帶。你要給寫在你房屋的門柱上和大門上。
