And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What[ is] this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

厥後若爾子孫詰爾、行此曷故、爾宜告之、耶和華以大能導我出埃及、脫我於賤役、

他日、爾子若相問曰、行此何為、爾則告之曰、因主以大能導我出為奴之伊及、

“ In days to come, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

“ In days to come, your child will ask you,‘ What does this mean?’ Say to them,‘ The Lord used his mighty hand to bring us out of Egypt. That’s the land where we were slaves.

And when in time to come your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ you shall say to him,‘ By a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

“ And in the future, your children will ask you,‘ What does all this mean?’ Then you will tell them,‘ With the power of his mighty hand, the Lord brought us out of Egypt, the place of our slavery.

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of his hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ then you shall say to him,‘ With a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall say to him,‘ By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

And it shall be, when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

“ In the future, when your son asks you,‘ What does this mean?’ say to him,‘ By the strength of His hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery.

In the future, when your son asks you‘ What is this?’ you are to tell him,‘ With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the land of slavery.

It shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall tell him,‘ By strength of hand Yahweh brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage.

And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this[ place]: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

That this may be a sign among you,[ that] when your children ask[ their fathers] in time to come, saying, What[ mean] ye by these stones?

And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?That ye shall say, It[ is] the sacrifice of the LORD’S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

[ And] when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What[ mean] the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as[ it is] at this day.

And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son’s son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I[ am] the LORD.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD’S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.

And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What[ mean] these stones?Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it[ is] mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that[ is] not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.

And if we have not[ rather] done it for fear of[ this] thing, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye to do with the LORD God of Israel?
