「正月十四日，黃昏的時候，是耶和華的逾越節。

「正月十四日是耶和華的逾越節。

二月十四日，宰了逾越節的羊羔。祭司與利未人覺得慚愧，就潔淨自己，把燔祭奉到耶和華殿中，遵着神人摩西的律法，照例站在自己的地方；祭司從利未人手裏接過血來，灑在壇上。會中有許多人尚未自潔，所以利未人為一切不潔之人宰逾越節的羊羔，使他們在耶和華面前成為聖潔。以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫有許多人尚未自潔，他們卻也吃逾越節的羊羔，不合所記錄的定例。希西家為他們禱告說：「凡專心尋求神，就是耶和華－他列祖之神的，雖不照着聖所潔淨之禮自潔，求至善的耶和華也饒恕他。」

他們要在二月十四日黃昏的時候，守逾越節。要用無酵餅與苦菜，和逾越節的羊羔同吃。

希律和本丟‧彼拉多，外邦人和以色列民，果然在這城裏聚集，要攻打你所膏的聖僕耶穌，

「我已經聽見以色列人的怨言。你告訴他們說：『到黃昏的時候，你們要吃肉，早晨必有食物得飽，你們就知道我是耶和華－你們的神。』」

「正月十四日，你們要守逾越節，守節七日，要吃無酵餅。

以色列人出埃及地以後，第二年正月，耶和華在西奈的曠野吩咐摩西說：「以色列人應當在所定的日期守逾越節，就是本月十四日黃昏的時候，你們要在所定的日期守這節，要按這節的律例典章而守。」

眾人都起來，把耶穌解到彼拉多面前，

眾人上去求巡撫，照常例給他們辦。

祭司長和長老挑唆眾人，求釋放巴拉巴，除滅耶穌。

第一日當有聖會；甚麼勞碌的工都不可做。

從正月十四日晚上，直到二十一日晚上，你們要吃無酵餅。

眾人卻一齊喊着說：「除掉這個人！釋放巴拉巴給我們！」

眾人都回答說：「他的血歸到我們和我們的子孫身上。」

「你要注意亞筆月，向耶和華－你的神守逾越節，因為耶和華－你的神在亞筆月夜間領你出埃及。你當在耶和華所選擇要立為他名的居所，從牛羣羊羣中，將逾越節的祭牲獻給耶和華－你的神。你吃這祭牲，不可吃有酵的餅；七日之內要吃無酵餅，就是困苦餅－你本是急忙出了埃及地－要叫你一生一世記念你從埃及地出來的日子。在你四境之內，七日不可見麵酵，頭一日晚上所獻的肉，一點不可留到早晨。在耶和華－你神所賜的各城中，你不可獻逾越節的祭；只當在耶和華－你神所選擇要立為他名的居所，晚上日落的時候，乃是你出埃及的時候，獻逾越節的祭。

他既按着神的定旨先見被交與人，你們就藉着無法之人的手，把他釘在十字架上，殺了。

一到早晨，祭司長和長老、文士、全公會的人大家商議，就把耶穌捆綁，解去交給彼拉多。

釘他在十字架上是巳初的時候。

約在申初，耶穌大聲喊着說：「以利！以利！拉馬撒巴各大尼？」就是說：「我的神！我的神！為甚麼離棄我？」站在那裏的人，有的聽見就說：「這個人呼叫以利亞呢！」內中有一個人趕緊跑去，拿海絨蘸滿了醋，綁在葦子上，送給他喝。其餘的人說：「且等着，看以利亞來救他不來。」耶穌又大聲喊叫，氣就斷了。

從午正到申初，遍地都黑暗了。申初的時候，耶穌大聲喊着說：「以羅伊！以羅伊！拉馬撒巴各大尼？」（翻出來就是：我的神！我的神！為甚麼離棄我？）

只是祭司長挑唆眾人，寧可釋放巴拉巴給他們。

我們都如羊走迷；各人偏行己路；耶和華使我們眾人的罪孽都歸在他身上。

你們棄絕了那聖潔公義者，反求着釋放一個兇手給你們。
