耶和華如此說：你們要謹慎，不可在安息日挑甚麼擔子進入耶路撒冷的城門，也不可在安息日從家中挑擔子出去。無論何工都不可做，只要以安息日為聖日，正如我所吩咐你們祖先的。』

在這一日，你們要宣告聖會；任何勞動的工都不可做。在你們一切的住處，這要成為你們世世代代永遠的定例。

「七月十五日，你們當有聖會；任何勞動的工都不可做，要向耶和華守節七天。

「你要吩咐以色列人說：七月初一，你們要守為完全安息的日子，要吹角作紀念，當有聖會。任何勞動的工都不可做；要將火祭獻給耶和華。」

你們看，耶和華既然將安息日賜給你們，所以第六天他就賜給你們兩天的食物，第七天各人都要留在自己的地方，不許任何人從這裏出去。」
