在埃及營和以色列營中間。一邊是雲是黑暗：一邊照亮着黑夜；終夜彼此不能相近。

起來，發光哦！因為你的光已經來到，永恆主的榮耀已經昇現照耀着你。因為你看，黑暗遮蓋着大地呢，幽暗籠罩着萬國之民呢；但永恆主卻要昇現照耀着你，他的榮耀必顯現來照着你。萬國必來就你的光，列王必來就你昇現之光輝。

因此主永恆主這麼說：『看吧，我的僕人必有的喫，但你們呢，卻要饑餓；看吧，我的僕人必有的喝，但你們呢，卻要乾渴；看吧，我的僕人必歡喜，但你們呢，卻要蒙羞；看吧，我的僕人必因心裏高興而歡呼，但你們呢，卻要因心裏傷痛而哀叫，因心靈破碎而哀號。

惟獨在歌珊地、以色列人那裏、沒有冰雹。

我必領瞎子行不認識的路，他們不知道的路徑、我必帶他們走。我必使黑暗在他們面前變為亮光，使彎曲變為平直：這些事我都要作，決不放棄。

那時你們就必重新看出義人與惡人之間、事奉上帝的與不事奉上帝的之間、有甚麼分別了。

但你們呢、你們乃是蒙揀選的族類，是王家的祭司班，是聖別的邦國，是子民做上帝產業的，要叫你們宣揚那召了你們出黑暗而進入他奇妙之光者的神德。

他援救了我們脫離黑暗的權勢，以遷入於他愛的兒子國裏。

你們的列祖向永恆主哀呼，他就將墨般的黑暗佈在你們與埃及人之間；使海水臨到、來淹沒他們；我在埃及所行的事、你們親眼見過；你們在曠野也住了許多年日。
