He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Susa, to show to Esther and explain it to her, and he told him to instruct her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.

Mordecai also gave Hathak a copy of the order. It commanded people to wipe out the Jews. The order had been sent from Susa. Mordecai told Hathak to show the order to Esther. He wanted Hathak to explain it to her. Mordecai told him to tell her to go and beg the king for mercy. Mordecai wanted her to make an appeal to the king for her people.

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa for their destruction, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her and command her to go to the king to beg his favor and plead with him on behalf of her people.

詔書本子寫成了勅令，頒到各省，向各族之民披露，叫他們準備好了、等候那一天。跑文書的人領着王命急急忙忙地出發，勅令在書珊宮堡裏頒布出去。王和哈曼坐下來喝酒；書珊城卻慌慌亂亂。

希律跟推羅西頓的人鬥氣；他們卻同心合意地來見他，先向王的內侍伯拉斯都說情，然後求和，因為他們的地區是從王的國境得供養的。

我在那使萬物存活的上帝面前、和那向本丟彼拉多作美好信認之見證的基督耶穌面前、囑咐你、

王后以斯帖回答說：『王啊，我若在你面前蒙恩寵，王若以為好，我所求的、是求王將我的性命賜給我；我所要的、是要王將我本族之民賜給我。因為我和我本族之民、我們都被出賣、快要被消滅，被屠殺，被滅盡了。我們若只是被賣為奴隸為婢女，我也就閉不作聲，但敵人是不會以王的這種損失為滿足的。』

因為我怎忍得見我本族之民受害呢？我怎忍得見我的親族被滅盡呢？』

王的心在永恆主手中、像隴溝的水、任隨所喜悅的而流轉。

我對王說：『願王萬歲！我列祖廬墓所在的京城荒廢，它的城門被火燒燬，我哪能不面帶愁容呢？』王問我說：『那麼你要求甚麼？』於是我禱告天上的上帝，就對王說：『王若認為滿意，僕人若在王面前蒙恩寵，請王差遣我往猶大，到我列祖墳墓所在的城去，我好重新建造它。』

王的烈怒乃死亡之使者；但智慧人能平息王怒。王之和顏悅色使人有生命；王的恩悅如同春雨之雲。

現今世富足的人呢、你要囑咐他們別存着高傲的心，不要把盼望釘住於財富之無定上，卻要釘住於那將萬物豐豐富富供給我們享受、的上帝；
