這時你若硬不作聲，那麼給予猶大人的濟助和援救總會從別處應時而起的，那麼你和你父的家就會滅亡了。你怎麼知道你之得了王后位分、不是為了此次這機會而得的呢？』

如果你在這個時候沉默不語，幫助和解救就會從別的地方為猶太人興起，而你和你的父家將會滅亡。誰知道，你得了王后之位，或許就是為了這樣一個時候！」

今爾得居后位、焉知非為此會、如爾斯時緘默無言、則猶大人必從他方、得解脫、蒙拯救、惟爾與父家、將見剿滅耳、

今爾居尊位、意者將使爾保全我族、未可知也、如爾竟無一言、必有他人援手、恐爾與全家、卒見剿滅耳。

此時、爾若緘默不言、猶大人或自他處得解脫救援、爾與爾父家必皆滅亡、其時難保爾仍居后位、或作爾居后位正為欲爾救我族今日之難亦未可知爾若緘默不言猶大人或自他處得解脫救援爾與父家必皆滅亡

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

What if you don’t say anything at this time? Then help for the Jews will come from another place. But you and your family will die. Who knows? It’s possible that you became queen for a time just like this.”

For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s family will be destroyed. Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.”

For if you keep silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”

For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then will relief and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place, but thou and thy father’s house will perish: and who knoweth whether thou art not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

If you keep silent at this time, liberation and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s house will be destroyed. Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.”

For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time,[ then] shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for[ such] a time as this?

“ Don’t imagine that because you are part of the king’s household you will be the one Jew who will escape. If you keep quiet at this time, liberation and protection for the Jews will appear from another source, while you and your father’s household perish. It may very well be that you have achieved royal status for such a time as this!”

For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

约瑟对他的兄弟们说：“请你们靠近我一些！”他们就靠近一些。他说：“我是你们的兄弟约瑟，就是被你们卖到埃及的约瑟。现在，不要因你们把我卖到这里而自忧自恨；要知道，是神在你们之前派遣了我，为要拯救生命。如今，这地已经有两年的饥荒，还会有五年既没有耕种，也没有收成。神在你们之前派遣了我，为要在地上给你们存留余种，并要大施解救，使你们得以存活。这样看来，派遣我到这里来的，不是你们，而是神。他立我作法老之父，作他全家之主，又作埃及全地的管辖者。

要知道，耶和华为他大名的缘故，必不会撇弃他的子民，因为耶和华愿意你们作他的子民。

任何为攻击你而造的武器，都必不奏效；任何在审判时起来用舌头攻击你的，都必被你定罪。以上是耶和华仆人们的继业，他们的公义从我而来。”这是耶和华的宣告。

就在那时候，摩西出生了。他在神的眼里十分俊美，在父亲家里被抚养了三个月。后来他被丢弃的时候，法老的女儿把他捡去，当做自己的儿子抚养。摩西在埃及人的一切智慧上受了教育，说话行事都有能力。“当他满四十岁的时候，心里决定要去探望自己的同胞以色列子民。他看见一个同胞受欺负，就去卫护他，为那受压迫的人报仇，打死了那个埃及人。摩西以为自己的同胞会领悟神是藉着他的手拯救他们，但他们却不领悟。

以斯帖是末迪凯的叔叔亚比亥的女儿，后来被末迪凯收作自己的女儿；轮到她去见王的时候，除了掌管女人的王室太监希该所安排的以外，她别无所求。以斯帖在所有看见她的人眼前蒙恩。

君王们必作你儿女的抚养人，王后们必作你儿女的乳母；他们必脸伏于地，向你下拜，舔你脚上的尘土。那时，你就知道：我是耶和华，等候我的必不致蒙羞。”

我还告诉你：你是彼得，我要在这磐石上建立我的教会，阴间的门不能胜过它。

末迪凯抚养着他叔叔的女儿哈达莎，就是以斯帖，因为她没有父母。这年轻女子身材秀美、容貌美丽。在她父母死的时候，末迪凯就把她收作自己的女儿。

如果那些日子不被减少，就没有一个人能得救。可是为了那些蒙拣选的人，那些日子将被减少。

大卫说：“我究竟做了什么呢？不就是问了一句话吗？”

耶和华紧拉着居鲁士的右手，让列国降服在他面前，使君王们的腰带松开；又让门在他面前敞开，使城门也不关闭——耶和华对所膏立的居鲁士如此说：“我必在你前面行，修平崎岖之地；我要打碎铜门，砍断铁闩。我要把暗处的宝物和隐秘处的宝藏赐给你，好让你知道：是我耶和华以色列的神提你的名召唤了你。为我仆人雅各、我所拣选的以色列的缘故，我提你的名召唤你；你虽然不认识我，我却给你一个尊名。我是耶和华，别无其二；除我以外没有神。你虽然不认识我，我却装备你；

亚伯拉罕给那地方起名为“耶和华以勒”；因此直到今天，人们还说：“在耶和华的山上必有预备。”
