Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.

Slaves, obey your masters here on earth. Respect them and honor them with a heart that is true. Obey them just as you would obey Christ.

Bondservants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ,

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ.

Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as you would Christ.

But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps,

Urge slaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing, not argumentative,not stealing, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.

Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.Husbands, love your wives and do not become bitter against them.Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.Fathers, do not antagonize your children, so that they will not become discouraged.Slaves, obey those who are your human masters in everything, not with eye service, as people pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord and not for people,knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a female servant to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He is gracious to us.

All who are under the yoke as slaves are to regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine will not be spoken against.Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brothers or sisters, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. Teach and preach these principles.If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,

So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his trickery, your minds will be led astray from sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

as they observe your pure and respectful behavior.

Teach me Your way, Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.

Since I know, my God, that You put the heart to the test and delight in uprightness, I, in the integrity of my heart, have willingly offered all these things; so now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here, make their offerings willingly to You.

“ Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and do away with the gods which your fathers served beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.

no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love.

“ The eye is the lamp of the body; so then, if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,

When the angel who* spoke to him left, he summoned two of his servants and a devout soldier from his personal attendants,and after he had explained everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.

For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one,‘ Go!’ and he goes, and to another,‘ Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave,‘ Do this!’ and he does it.”

His affection abounds all the more toward you, as he remembers the obedience of you all, how you received him with fear and trembling.

“ No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

I also was with you in weakness and fear, and in great trembling,

For the one who was called in the Lord as a slave, is the Lord’s freed person; likewise the one who was called as free, is Christ’s slave.

So the angel of the Lord said to her,“ Return to your mistress, and submit to her authority.”
