and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written:“ For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, And sing to Your name.”And again he says:“ Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!”And again:“ Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!”And again, Isaiah says:“ There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.”Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

And we declare to you glad tidings— that promise which was made to the fathers.God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm:‘ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.’

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world beganbut now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—

who also said,“ Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

They said therefore among themselves,“ Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says:“ They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.

But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.

Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

Then He said to them,“ These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”

Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled,“ Not one of His bones shall be broken.”

to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith;
