所以我為主的緣故做囚犯的勸你們、行事為人要對得起你們所蒙的呼召。

所以，我這個在主裡的囚犯勸你們：行事為人要配得上你們所蒙的召喚，

故我為主被囚者勸爾、所行宜稱乎所蒙之召、

我為主被囚、勸爾行事、稱所蒙召之命、

我為主被囚者勸爾、既蒙召、行事則當與蒙召之恩相稱、

是故吾以因主被囚之身、剴切勸爾修身砥行、無忝爾之聖召、

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

I am a prisoner because of the Lord. So I am asking you to live a life worthy of what God chose you for.

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received,

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel (niv)

encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory. (niv)

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. (niv)

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (niv)

Therefore I urge you to imitate me. (niv)

He has saved us and called us to a holy life— not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, (niv)

When Abram was ninety- nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said,“ I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. (niv)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God— this is your true and proper worship. (niv)

With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. (niv)

I plead with you, brothers and sisters, become like me, for I became like you. You did me no wrong. (niv)

equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (niv)

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers. (niv)

By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you— I, Paul, who am“ timid” when face to face with you, but“ bold” toward you when away! (niv)

and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive. (niv)

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. (niv)

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. (niv)

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (niv)

Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do.For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. (niv)

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. (niv)

yet I prefer to appeal to you on the basis of love. It is as none other than Paul— an old man and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus—that I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, who became my son while I was in chains. (niv)

Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. (niv)
