Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm, and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure.

But Peter and John replied,“ Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?

But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.

Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good?But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.

So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For government workers need to be paid. They are serving God in what they do.Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority.

Obey the king since you vowed to God that you would.

Sensible people keep their eyes glued on wisdom, but a fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth.

For the wise can see where they are going, but fools walk in the dark.” Yet I saw that the wise and the foolish share the same fate.

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands.
