他使我口唱新歌，就是讚美我們上帝的話。許多人必看見而懼怕，並要倚靠耶和華。

這事以後，那婦人，就是那家的女主人，她的兒子病了，病得很重，甚至沒有氣息。婦人對以利亞說：「神人哪，我跟你有甚麼關係，你竟到我這裏來，使上帝記起我的罪，以致我的兒子死了呢？」

所以，他將猛烈的怒氣和戰爭的威力傾倒在以色列身上；在他周圍如火燃起，他竟然不知，燒着了，他也不在意。

耶和華的怒氣必不轉消，直到他心中所定的成就了，實現了。末後的日子，你們要全然明白。

他磨煉你，任你飢餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，使你知道，人活着，不是單靠食物，乃是靠耶和華口裏所出的一切話。

你將我的哀哭變為跳舞，脫去我的麻衣，為我披上喜樂，使我的靈歌頌你，不致緘默。耶和華－我的上帝啊，我要稱謝你，直到永遠！

「我厭惡自己的性命，任由我述說自己的苦情；因心裏苦惱，我要說話。我對上帝說，不要定我有罪，要指示我，你為何與我爭辯？

當那日，萬軍之主耶和華使人哭泣哀號，頭上光禿，身披麻布。看哪，人卻歡喜快樂，宰牛殺羊，吃肉喝酒：「讓我們吃吃喝喝吧！因為明天要死了。」萬軍之耶和華開啟我的耳朵：「這罪孽直到你們死，斷不得赦免！」這是萬軍之主耶和華說的。

他們若在被擄之地那裏回心轉意，在擄掠者之地悔改，向你懇求說：『我們有罪了，我們悖逆了，我們作惡了』；

耶和華向這城呼叫－看重你的名是真智慧－你們當聽懲罰和派定懲罰的人。

現在，萬軍之耶和華如此說，你們要省察自己的行為。你們撒的種多，收的卻少；你們吃，卻不得飽；喝，卻不得足；穿衣服，卻不得暖；領工錢的，領了工錢卻裝入有破洞的袋中。「萬軍之耶和華如此說，你們要省察自己的行為。

你們中間若有人受苦，他該禱告；有人喜樂，他該歌頌。

耶和華啊，你的手高舉，他們不觀看；願他們觀看你為百姓發的熱心而羞愧，願火吞滅你的敵人。

我受苦是與我有益，為要使我學習你的律例。

耶和華啊，你所管教、用律法教導的人有福了！你使他在遭難的日子仍得平安，直到為惡人挖好了坑。

經上說：『我喜愛憐憫，不喜愛祭祀。』這句話的意思，你們去揣摩。我不是來召義人，而是召罪人。」
