那还没生下来的，就是还没看过日光之下所行的恶事的，比这两种人更有福。

并且我以为那未曾生的，就是未见过日光之下恶事的，比这两等人更强。

但那尚未出生，就是未曾见过日光之下所发生之恶事的，比这两种人更幸福。

但那尚未出生，就是未曾见过日光之下所发生之恶事的，比这两种人更幸福。

不过，比以上两种人更幸运的是那从未出生的人，他们从未见过日光之下各样的恶行。

但那还没有出生的人，比这两者更好，因他没有见过在日光之下所行的恶事。

並且我以為那未曾生的，就是未見過日光之下惡事的，比這兩等人更強。

但那尚未出生，就是未曾見過日光之下所發生之惡事的，比這兩種人更幸福。

我並且以為、那未曾生的、就是那未曾經驗過日光之下所發生的壞事的、比這兩種人還好。

但那還沒有出生的人，比這兩者更好，因他沒有見過在日光之下所行的惡事。

且以未生之人、未睹日下所作之惡者、較斯二者為尤愈也、○

又思未生於斯世者、未見斯人之穢行、較生而復死者、尤為幸甚。

較此二者、未生於世、未見日下所作之惡事者更為幸、○

But better than both is the one who has never been born, who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun.

But someone who hasn’t been born yet is better off than the dead or the living. That’s because that person hasn’t seen the evil things that are done on earth.

But better than both is he who has not yet been and has not seen the evil deeds that are done under the sun.

But most fortunate of all are those who are not yet born. For they have not seen all the evil that is done under the sun.

But better than either of them is the one who has not yet existed, who has not seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

But better off than both of them is the one who has never existed, who has never seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

Yet, better than both is he who has never existed, Who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

yea, better than them both did I esteem him that hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

But better than either of them is the one who has not yet existed, who has not seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.

Yea, better[ is he] than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

But better than both is the one who has not been born and has not seen the evil things that are done on earth.

Yes, better than them both is him who has not yet been, who has not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

日子将到，人必说：‘不生育的和没有怀过胎的，也没有哺养过婴儿的有福了。’

人如果生下百子，活了许多岁数，年日长久，但是心里不因美物满足，又得不到安葬，我以为流产的胎比他还好。因为这胎虚虚而来，暗暗而去，黑暗把他的名字遮蔽了。这胎既看不见天日，又一无所知，就比那人更得安息。

当那些日子，怀孕的和乳养孩子的有祸了！

因为那夜没有把我母胎的门关闭，也没有把苦难隐藏，使我看不见。我为什么不一离母胎就死去？我为什么不一出母腹就断气？为什么有膝承接我？为什么有乳哺养我？不然，我早已躺下安息，与世上那些为自己建造陵墓的君王和谋士同睡，或与那些拥有黄金，房屋装满银子的王侯同眠。我为什么不像暗中流产的胎，未见天日的婴孩，归于无有呢？

他们找到坟墓就高兴，非常欢喜快乐。

你为什么使我出母胎呢？我不如死去，无人得见我，这样，就像从来没有我一样，一出母腹就被送入坟墓。

我看过日光之下所发生的一切事，不料，一切都是虚空，都是捕风。

我说：“但愿我有鸽子一般的翅膀，我就飞走，得以安居。看哪！我必逃往远处，在旷野里住宿。（细拉）我要赶快到我避难的地方去，逃避狂风暴雨。”主啊！扰乱恶人的计谋，使他们的意见（“意见”原文作“舌头”）分歧，因为我在城中看见了强暴和争竞的事。恶人日夜在城墙上绕行，在城里尽是邪恶与祸害；城中也有毁灭人的事，欺压和诡诈不离城里的街道。

但愿我在旷野有一个旅客住宿的地方，好使我离开我的同胞，可以离他们而去；因为他们都是行奸淫的，是行诡诈之徒。（本节在《马索拉文本》为9:1）“他们弯曲舌头，像弯弓一样；在这地得势的是虚谎，不是诚实；因为他们变本加厉地作恶，连我也不认识。”这是耶和华的宣告。

因此我恨恶生命，因为在日光之下所发生的事，都使我厌烦。一切都是虚空，都是捕风。

因为他没有使我死于母腹，好使我的母亲成了我的坟墓，我永远留在母腹中。我为什么要出母胎，经历劳苦和忧伤，并且我的年日都消逝在羞辱之中呢？
