Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. (niv)

“ About this time next year,” Elisha said,“ you will hold a son in your arms.”“ No, my lord!” she objected.“ Please, man of God, don’t mislead your servant!” (niv)

If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed,and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted,and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it. At that time I pleaded with the Lord:“ Sovereign Lord, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do?Let me go over and see the good land beyond the Jordan— that fine hill country and Lebanon.”But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me.“ That is enough,” the Lord said.“ Do not speak to me anymore about this matter. And Moses the servant of the Lord died there in Moab, as the Lord had said. (niv)

See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” (niv)

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. (niv)

And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their appointed time.” (niv)

He replied,“ Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. (niv)

He dug it up and cleared it of stones and planted it with the choicest vines. He built a watchtower in it and cut out a winepress as well. But the angel said to him:“ Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. (niv)

Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised.Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. (niv)

Those who were full hire themselves out for food, but those who were hungry are hungry no more. She who was barren has borne seven children, but she who has had many sons pines away. (niv)

But the Lord has told me to say to you,‘ This is what the Lord says: I will overthrow what I have built and uproot what I have planted, throughout the earth. (niv)

Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and pluck you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. (niv)

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Go up this mountain in the Abarim Range and see the land I have given the Israelites.After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was,for when the community rebelled at the waters in the Desert of Zin, both of you disobeyed my command to honor me as holy before their eyes.”( These were the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.) (niv)

“ As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt had greatly increased. (niv)

But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year.” (niv)

“ Go and tell Hezekiah,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life. (niv)
