我自己心裡說：“至於世人，神要試驗他們，使他們看見自己與牲畜無異。

我心里说，这乃为世人的缘故，是神要试验他们，使他们觉得自己不过像兽一样。

我心里说：“为世人的缘故，上帝考验他们，让他们看见自己不过像走兽一样。”

我心里说：“为世人的缘故，神考验他们，让他们看见自己不过像走兽一样。”

我又想：“至于世人，上帝试验他们，是要他们知道自己与兽类无异。

我自己心里说：“至于世人，神要试验他们，使他们看见自己与牲畜无异。

至于世人，我心里说：“神在考验他们，要让他们看见自己像兽类一样”；

我心裏說，這乃為世人的緣故，是神要試驗他們，使他們覺得自己不過像獸一樣。

至於世人，我心裡說：「神在考驗他們，要讓他們看見自己像獸類一樣」；

言及世人、我心自謂、上帝欲試之、使知其與獸無異、

又思世人行事、上帝察之、欲人知異於禽獸者幾希。

我又自思曰、世事如是乃緣人之故、蓋天主欲以試人、使人知人與獸無異、

I also said to myself,“ As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals.

I also said to myself,“ God tests human beings. He does this so they can see that in certain ways they are like animals.

I said in my heart with regard to the children of man that God is testing them that they may see that they themselves are but beasts.

I also thought about the human condition— how God proves to people that they are like animals.

I said to myself,“ This happens so that God may test the children of Adam and they may see for themselves that they are like animals.”

I said to myself regarding the sons of mankind,“ God is testing them in order for them to see that they are as animals, they to themselves.”

I said in my heart,“ Concerning the condition of the sons of men, God tests them, that they may see that they themselves are like animals.”

I said in my heart, It is because of the sons of men, that God may prove them, and that they may see that they themselves are but as beasts.

I said to myself,“ This happens concerning people, so that God may test them and they may see for themselves that they are like animals.”

I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

I also thought to myself,“ It is for the sake of people, so God can clearly show them that they are like animals.

I said in my heart,“ As for the sons of men, God tests them, so that they may see that they themselves are like animals.

我是愚昧無知的；我在你面前就像畜類一般。

按著定命，人人都要死一次，死後還有審判。

耶和華神又對亞當說：“因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子；地就必因你的緣故受咒詛；你必終生勞苦，才能從地裡得吃的。地要給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來；你也要吃田間的蔬菜；你必汗流滿面，才有飯吃，直到你歸回地土，因為你是從地土取出來的；你既然是塵土，就要歸回塵土。”

為了要使他豐盛的榮耀，彰顯在那蒙恩、早已預備要得榮耀的器皿上，這又有甚麼不可呢？

他還要歸到他歷代的祖宗那裡去，永不再見光明。人享富貴而不聰明，就像要滅亡的牲畜一樣。

你使世人消逝，像被洪水沖去；他們好像睡了一覺；他們又像在早晨生長的草，早晨發芽生長，晚上就凋萎枯乾。我們因你的怒氣而消滅，因你的烈怒而驚恐。你把我們的罪孽擺在你面前，把我們的隱惡擺在你臉光之中。我們一生的日子都在你的震怒中消逝，我們度盡的年歲好像一聲歎息。我們一生的年日是七十歲，如果強壯，可到八十歲，但其中可誇耀的，不過是勞苦愁煩；我們的年日轉眼即逝，我們也如飛而去了。誰曉得你怒氣的威力，誰按著你該受的敬畏曉得你的忿怒呢？求你教導我們怎樣數算自己的日子，好使我們得著智慧的心。

我得罪了你，唯獨得罪你；我行了你眼中看為惡的事，因此，你宣判的時候，顯為公義；你審判的時候，顯為清正。

但這些人，好像沒有理性的牲畜，生下來就是給人捉去宰殺的；他們毀謗自己所不知道的事，必在自己的敗壞中滅亡。

“婦人所生的日子短少，滿有攪擾；他生長如花，又遭割下；他飛去如影，並不停留。這樣的人你還睜眼看他，又把他帶到你跟前受審嗎？誰能使潔淨出於污穢呢？無人有此本事。

你實在把他們安放在滑地，使他們倒下、滅亡。他們忽然間成了多麼荒涼，被突然的驚恐完全消滅。

何況那可憎又腐敗，喝罪孽如同喝水的世人呢？

他們好像羊群被派定下陰間；死亡必作他們的牧人。到了早晨，正直人要管轄他們；他們的形體必被陰間消滅，他們再沒有住處。

你怎能廢棄我所審斷的？怎能定我為有罪，好顯出你自己為義呢？

絕不可能！神總是誠實的，人卻是虛謊的，正如經上所記：“你在話語上，顯為公義；你被論斷時，必然得勝。”

但是人不能長享富貴；他們就像要滅亡的牲畜一樣。

因為“所有的人（“人”原文作“肉體”），盡都如草，他們的榮美，都像草上的花；草必枯乾，花必凋謝，
