I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it. And God has so worked, that people will fear Him.

I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago,

So Pilate* said to Him,“ Are you not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?”Jesus answered him,“ You would have no authority over Me at all, if it had not been given to you from above; for this reason the one who handed Me over to you has the greater sin.”

Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and may lengthen his life, still I know that it will go well for those who fear God, who fear Him openly.But it will not go well for the evil person and he will not lengthen his days like a shadow, because he does not fear God.

“ But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.All the inhabitants of the earth are of no account, But He does according to His will among the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can fend off His hand Or say to Him,‘ What have You done?’

According to their deeds, so will He repay: Wrath to His adversaries, retribution to His enemies; To the coastlands He will deal retribution.So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west And His glory from the rising of the sun, For He will come like a rushing stream Which the wind of the Lord drives.

It is good that you grasp one thing while not letting go of the other; for one who fears God comes out with both of them.

Your faithfulness continues throughout generations; You established the earth, and it stands.They stand this day by Your ordinances, For all things are Your servants.

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, in order that the Scripture would be fulfilled,* said,“ I am thirsty.”A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth.Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said,“ It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.Now then, since it was the day of preparation, to prevent the bodies from remaining on the cross on the Sabbath( for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews requested of Pilate that their legs be broken, and the bodies be taken away.So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man, and of the other who was crucified with Him;but after they came to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.Yet one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.For these things took place so that the Scripture would be fulfilled:“ Not a bone of Him shall be broken.”And again another Scripture says,“ They will look at Him whom they pierced.”

Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying,‘ My plan will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;

And now I will tell you the truth. Behold, three more kings are going to arise in Persia. Then a fourth will gain far more riches than all of them; as soon as he becomes strong through his riches, he will stir up the entire empire against the realm of Greece.And a mighty king will arise, and he will rule with great authority and do as he pleases.But as soon as he has arisen, his kingdom will be broken up and parceled out toward the four points of the compass, though not to his own descendants, nor according to his authority which he wielded, because his sovereignty will be removed and given to others besides them.

So it will be that when the Lord has completed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say,“ I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the arrogant pride of his eyes.”For he has said,“ By the power of my hand and by my wisdom I did this, Because I have understanding; And I removed the boundaries of the peoples And plundered their treasures, And like a powerful man I brought down their inhabitants,And my hand reached to the riches of the peoples like a nest, And as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; And there was not one that flapped its wing, opened its beak, or chirped.”Is the axe to boast itself over the one who chops with it? Is the saw to exalt itself over the one who wields it? That would be like a club wielding those who lift it, Or like a rod lifting the one who is not wood.

Then all people will fear, And they will declare the work of God, And will consider what He has done.

For the wrath of mankind shall praise You; You will encircle Yourself with a remnant of wrath.

For in many dreams and in many words there is futility. Rather, fear God.

to do whatever Your hand and purpose predestined to occur.

There is no wisdom, no understanding, And no plan against the Lord.

Then the male goat made himself exceedingly great. But once he became powerful, the large horn was broken; and in its place four prominent horns came up toward the four winds of heaven.

Do not add to His words Or He will rebuke you, and you will be proved a liar.

Many plans are in a person’s heart, But the advice of the Lord will stand.

this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.

This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,

Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For all the nations will come and worship before You, For Your righteous acts have been revealed.”
