I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.

我知道世人，莫强如终身喜乐行善；

我知道，人除了终身喜乐纳福，没有一件幸福的事。

我认识到，人生在世没有什么比欢乐、享受更好。

我認識到，人生在世沒有什麼比歡樂、享受更好。

我曉得人生最好是尋樂享福，

我知道世人莫如時常歡喜、一生享樂；

我知道：人一生中沒有什麼比喜樂和行善更好的；

我知世人畢生懽愉行善、無愈於此、

以我觀之、人在斯世、莫若為善而享福。

我知世人終身、惟有喜樂與行善為美、

People should be happy and do good while they live. I know there’s nothing better for them to do than that.

I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live;

So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and enjoy the good life.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime;

I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,

I know that there is nothing better for them, than to rejoice, and to do good so long as they live.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and enjoy the good life.

I know that[ there is] no good in them, but for[ a man] to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

I have concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they live,

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live.

So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.Rejoice always,

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy— think about such things.Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me— put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

But now as for what is inside you— be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.

Just as it pleased the Lord to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you. You will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess.

Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil.Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun— all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said:‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways. But when we continued to sin against them, you were angry. How then can we be saved?
