I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem as well— the delights of a man’s heart.

I stored up silver and gold for myself. I gathered up the treasures of kings and their kingdoms. I got some male and female singers. I also got many women for myself. Women delight the hearts of men.

I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the treasure of kings and provinces. I got singers, both men and women, and many concubines, the delight of the sons of man.

I collected great sums of silver and gold, the treasure of many kings and provinces. I hired wonderful singers, both men and women, and had many beautiful concubines. I had everything a man could desire!

示巴女王、饋所羅門金十八萬、以及寶石、更獻芬芳之品、不可勝數、前此未有若是之多也。

我今年八十、所食所飲、不知其味、不別美惡、謳歌之男女、不能分其聲、臣與王偕、適以阻王而已。

至阿妃得金、六十三萬兩、攜至王所。

所羅門王、除商賈鬻芬芳之品、亞喇伯列王及列邦牧伯所貿易之金而外、

所羅門王以金之次者、作盾二百、每盾三百兩、又用以作千三百、每千一百五十兩、王置之於宅、其宅曰利巴嫩林。王用象牙作大座、飾以兼金、座之階級有六、足凳與座相連、亦以金製、左右有柄、柄旁刻獅像、階級左右亦如之、共十有二、他國未能頡頏。所羅門王所飲之杯、悉以金製、利巴嫩林宅中所有器皿不以銀作、皆係兼金、當所羅門時、人弗以銀為貴重。希蘭僕駕王舟、至大失、三年一歸、載金銀象牙、猿猴、孔雀。

彈琴作歌、製樂器、一如大闢、

希蘭曾進金九萬於王。

所羅門王所飲之杯、悉以金製、利巴嫩林宅中、所有器皿、皆係兼金、當所羅門時、人弗以銀為貴重。

當吹厥角、其聲嘹唳、鼓瑟鼓琴、而揄揚之兮、播鼗舞蹈、操絃縵、品簫管、而頌揚之兮。大鈸小鈸、敲以讚之兮、

維時民人族姓、聽角鼗琴瑟笙簫樂器之音、一時齊作、咸俯伏拜王所立之金像、

所羅門子羅波暗乃亞捫族之婦拿馬所出、年四十有一、始即位於耶路撒冷、統轄猶大、歷十七載、耶路撒冷、即耶和華在以色列支派中所簡、以為籲名之所者。猶大人行惡於耶和華前、所犯罪愆、致干震怒、較先人尤甚、

嬰孩成群、子女舞蹈、播鼗鼓琴、蕭管悅耳、

大闢與會長、使亞薩、希慢、耶土頓眾子、為伶官、鳴琴鼓瑟、敲鈸謳歌、其數如左、

聞角鼗琴瑟笙簫樂器之音、即當伏拜尼布甲尼撒王所鑄之金像、

今爾聽角鼗琴瑟笙簫樂器之音、咸當俯伏拜我所鑄之像、則可、不然、即投爾於洪爐、諸上帝中孰一能救爾於我手、

羅波暗王作銅干以代、趨承之人環守宮門、王以銅干付於其長。

其僕婢七千三百三十七人、中有男女謳歌者二百人。

又教子女、於耶和華殿謳歌鳴琴、鼓瑟敲鈸、以供役事、循王所諭亞薩、耶土頓、希慢之命。

王以之作闌、飾於耶和華殿、及王宮、又作琴鼗為謳歌者所用、自昔以來、在猶大地、未見若是之木。
