I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem as well— the delights of a man’s heart.

I stored up silver and gold for myself. I gathered up the treasures of kings and their kingdoms. I got some male and female singers. I also got many women for myself. Women delight the hearts of men.

所羅門王以煉金作盾二百、每盾需金六百舍客勒、又以煉金作干三百、每干需金三百舍客勒、王置於利巴嫩林宮、又以象牙製大寶座一、包以精金、其階六級、有金足几、與座相連、座之左右有扶手、二獅旁立、六級各有二獅、左一右一、共十有二、他國未有若是之製也、所羅門王所有之爵、悉以金製、利巴嫩林宮諸器、皆為精金、當所羅門時、銀不為貴、因王有舟、與戶蘭僕同往他施、其舟三年一返、載金銀、象牙、猿猴、孔雀而歸、

和琴瑟之聲、歌無謂之曲、為己而製樂器、同乎大衛、

希蘭遺金一百二十他連得於王、○

所羅門王所有之爵、悉以金製、利巴嫩林宮諸器、皆為精金、當所羅門時、銀不為貴、

當以角聲頌美之、以瑟與琴頌美之兮、播鼗舞蹈頌美之、以絲與竹頌美之兮、以音洪之鈸頌美之、以聲高之鈸頌美之兮、

諸民聞角簫琵琶琴瑟、及各樂器之音時、諸民諸國、諸方言者、遂伏拜尼布甲尼撒王所立之金像、

所羅門子羅波安為猶大王、即位時、年四十有一、在耶路撒冷為王、歷十七年、耶路撒冷即耶和華自以色列諸支派中、所簡以為寄名之所、羅波安母名拿瑪、亞捫女也、猶大人行耶和華所惡、犯罪激耶和華之忌、較其列祖尤甚、

孩童出則成羣、子女舞蹈、和琴鼓而謳歌、聽簫聲而歡樂、

大衛與諸軍長、簡立亞薩希幔耶杜頓子孫、俾供役事、以琴瑟與鈸謳歌、供役事者、其數如左、

爾於何時、聞角簫琵琶琴瑟笙、及各樂器之音、即當伏拜尼布甲尼撒王所立之金像、

今爾聞角簫琵琶琴瑟笙、及各樂器之音、願伏拜我所製之像、則可、若不拜之、必即時投於烈火之爐、何神能拯爾於我手耶、

羅波安王製銅干以代之、付於守宮門之侍衛長、

此外、有僕婢七千三百三十七人、男女謳歌者二百人、

俱為其父所轄、以鈸與琴瑟、謳歌於耶和華室、供上帝室之役事、亞薩、耶杜頓、希幔、乃王命是聽、

王以檀木、為耶和華室及王宮作臺、又為謳歌者作琴與瑟、在猶大地、從未見若此者、
