I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem as well— the delights of a man’s heart.

I stored up silver and gold for myself. I gathered up the treasures of kings and their kingdoms. I got some male and female singers. I also got many women for myself. Women delight the hearts of men.

I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the treasure of kings and provinces. I got singers, both men and women, and many concubines, the delight of the sons of man.

I collected great sums of silver and gold, the treasure of many kings and provinces. I hired wonderful singers, both men and women, and had many beautiful concubines. I had everything a man could desire!

示巴女王将四吨黄金、大量香料和宝石献给所罗门王。此后，再无人像示巴女王那样献给所罗门王那么多香料。

我已经八十岁了，美丑难分，食不知味，乐不辨音，何必为我主我王添麻烦呢？

从俄斐为所罗门王运回了十四吨黄金。

所罗门每年收到的黄金约二十三吨。

所罗门王用锤好的金子打造了二百面大盾牌，每面用七公斤金子；又用锤好的金子打造了三百面小盾牌，每面用三点五公斤金子，全部放在黎巴嫩林宫。王又造了一个象牙大宝座，外面用纯金包裹。这宝座有六级台阶，又有金脚凳与宝座相连，宝座两旁有扶手，扶手两边各站着一头狮子，六级台阶上共站着十二头狮子，每级台阶两端各站一头。这宝座举世无双。所罗门王所有的杯子都是金的，黎巴嫩林宫里所有的器皿都是纯金的，没有一件是用银子造的，因为所罗门年间银子不算什么。王有船队与希兰的仆人一起出海去他施，每三年就运回金银、象牙、猿猴和孔雀。

你们伴着琴声唱慵懒的歌，像大卫一样为自己制造乐器。

希兰供应了所罗门王约四吨金子。

所罗门王所有的杯子都是金的，黎巴嫩林宫里的所有器皿都是纯金的，没有一件是用银子造的，因为所罗门年间银子不算什么。

要吹响号角赞美祂，要弹琴鼓瑟赞美祂！要击鼓跳舞赞美祂，要拨弦吹笛赞美祂！要击响铙钹赞美祂，用响亮的钹声赞美祂！

于是，各族、各邦、各语种的人一听见角、笛、弦琴、竖琴、瑟等各种乐器的声音，就都叩拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

所罗门的儿子罗波安做犹大王。他四十一岁登基，在耶路撒冷，就是耶和华从以色列众支派中选择来立祂名的城执政十七年。罗波安的母亲是亚扪人拿玛。犹大人做耶和华视为恶的事，他们的罪行比他们祖先所做的更惹耶和华发怒。

他们让孩童像羊群一样走到户外，尽情地欢跳。他们伴着铃鼓和竖琴歌唱，在笛声中欢喜不已。

大卫和众首领派亚萨、希幔和耶杜顿的后代伴着琴、瑟和钹宣讲上帝的话。以下是担当这职务的人：

‘你们一听见角、笛、弦琴、竖琴、瑟、笙等各种乐器奏响，就要叩拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。

现在你们准备好，一听见角、笛、弦琴、竖琴、瑟、笙等各种乐器的声音，就要叩拜我造的像。不然，必立刻将你们扔进烈焰熊熊的火窑。那时什么神明能从我手中救你们呢？”

罗波安王就造了铜盾牌代替那些金盾牌，交给看守宫门的护卫长看管。

此外还有他们的七千三百三十七名男女仆婢，二百名男女歌乐手，

这些人由他们的父亲指挥，在耶和华的殿唱歌、敲钹、弹琴、鼓瑟，事奉耶和华。亚萨、耶杜顿、希幔听命于王。

所罗门王用这些檀香木建造耶和华的殿和王宫的阶梯，又制作歌乐手的琴瑟。在犹大从来没有见过这样的物品。
